Is Iowa Poll severely flawed?
The latest Des Moines Register Iowa Poll of Republican candidates gave out conflicting numbers ['Big shakepup': Cruz soars to lead, Dec. 13]. The Iowa Poll gave Ted Cruz a 31 percent to 21 percent lead over Donald Trump in Iowa. On Dec. 12, the latest USA Today poll tracker gave Trump a 25.7 percent to 22.3 percent lead over Cruz in the Hawkeye state.
Nationally, Trump crushed Cruz 30.4 percent to 15.6 percent. Could it be that the Register's Iowa Poll is severely flawed? How could Cruz make an unbelievable 21 percent jump from the last Iowa Poll?
How can a newspaper that has criticized and editorialized Trump's every move come out with an objective honest poll? The numbers just don't add up. It appears the Register wants Cruz to win the Iowa caucuses. If that's the case, it's shabby journalism.
