US & Seoul Plan Military Drills Near N.Korean Border

The US and South Korea will be conducting a major joint military exercise near the North Korean border next week. Russia has voiced concerns over the drills, which will involve around 12-thousand American soldiers.

These border drills are provoking the North Koreans to conduct nuclear weapon and ballistic missile tests. Nevertheless, the North should simply ignore these drills. They do not need to launch missiles across the Sea of Japan, which gives the US a chance to ramp up the rhetoric. As things stand, neither side wants to attack the other.
