What do people talk about? When they get together over burgers, what's on their minds?

I suspect what's going on with Fukushima, the news about Gulf coast fish life, the destruction of civil liberties and the 'rule of law,' the constant wars, yadda yadda, are not up there on people's minds.

I know that when I'm at work, and around the most number of people, and the people who come from the most diverse backgrounds, that I'm with during any particular week or month, no one is talking about or has any mention of any of these issues.

They are not water cooler chatter topics.

They don't talk politics, not religion, and not science.

Just saying....the extinction level asteroids could be raining down on us next week and no one would be interested enough to mention it.
