The Philippines should have stronger ties with Russia and China, as Western nations are only interested in double talk and disregard Philippines interests, President Rodrigo Duterte told RT and other Russian media ahead of his visit to Moscow.

The Philippines will be a pivot point for conflict in Asia in the near future with Islamist militants operating in the country and territorial disputes with China. The Chinese are likely to want to buy favour with the Philippines as way to gain control. Another point of conflict might be with radicalisation in Indonesia.
