SR 1386 – Michigan Recount Halted by Federal Judge

A federal court judge has revoked his earlier order and said that the presidential ballot recount should be stopped because Green Party candidate Jill Stein did not have a large enough vote to have standing.
U.S. District Court Judge Mark Goldsmith has changed his mind and sided with the Michigan Court of Appeals which ordered the recount to be stopped yesterday.
Goldsmith said that Stein had not presented valid reasons for the recount, and that since she had no chance of winning, she was not an “aggrieved” candidate.
