Brexit Is Only the Latest Proof of the Insularity and Failure of Western Establishment Institutions

The decision by U.K. voters to leave the EU is such a glaring repudiation of the wisdom and relevance of elite political and media institutions that — for once — their failures have become a prominent part of the storyline. Media reaction to the Brexit vote falls into two general categories: (1) earnest, candid attempts to understand what motivated voters to make this choice, even if that means indicting their own establishment circles, and (2) petulant, self-serving, simple-minded attacks on disobedient pro-Leave voters for being primitive, xenophobic bigots (and stupid to boot), all to evade any reckoning with their own responsibility. Virtually every reaction that falls into the former category emphasizes the profound failures of Western establishment factions; these institutions have spawned pervasive misery and inequality, only to spew condescending scorn at their victims when they object.
Though there were some exceptions, establishment political and media elites in the U.K. were vehemently united against Brexit, but their decreed wisdom was ignored, even scorned. That has happened time and again. As their fundamental failures become more evident to all, these elites have lost credibility, influence, and the ability to dictate outcomes.

Just last year in the U.K., Labour members chose someone to lead Tony Blair’s party — the authentically left-wing Jeremy Corbyn — who could not have been more intensely despised and patronized by almost every leading light of the British media and political class. In the U.S., the joyful rejection by Trump voters of the collective wisdom of the conservative establishment evidenced the same contempt for elite consensus. The enthusiastic and sustained rallying, especially by young voters, against beloved-by-the-establishment Hillary Clinton in favor of a 74-year-old socialist taken seriously by almost no D.C. elites reflected the same dynamic. Elite denunciations of the right-wing parties of Europe fall on deaf ears. Elites can’t stop, or even affect, any of these movements because they are, at bottom, revolts against their wisdom, authority, and virtue.
In sum, the West’s establishment credibility is dying, and its influence is precipitously eroding — all deservedly so. The frenetic pace of online media makes even the most recent events feel distant, like ancient history. That, in turn, makes it easy to lose sight of how many catastrophic and devastating failures Western elites have produced in a remarkably short period of time.

In 2003, U.S. and British elites joined together to advocate one of the most heinous and immoral aggressive wars in decades: the destruction of Iraq; that it turned out to be centrally based on falsehoods that were ratified by the most trusted institutions, as well as a complete policy failure even on its own terms, gutted public trust.

In 2008, their economic worldview and unrestrained corruption precipitated a global economic crisis that literally caused, and is still causing, billions of people to suffer — in response, they quickly protected the plutocrats who caused the crisis while leaving the victimized masses to cope with the generational fallout. Even now, Western elites continue to proselytize markets and impose free trade and globalization without the slightest concern for the vast inequality and destruction of economic security those policies generate.

In 2011, NATO bombed Libya by pretending it was motivated by humanitarianism, only to ignore that country once the fun military triumph was celebrated, thus leaving a vacuum of anarchy and militia rule for years that spread instability through the region and fueled the refugee crisis. The U.S. and its European allies continue to invade, occupy, and bomb predominantly Muslim countries while propping up their most brutal tyrants, then feign befuddlement about why anyone would want to attack them back, justifying erosions of basic liberties and more bombing campaigns and ratcheting up fear levels each time someone does. The rise of ISIS and the foothold it seized in Iraq and Libya were the direct byproducts of the West’s military actions (as even Tony Blair admitted regarding Iraq). Western societies continue to divert massive resources into military weaponry and prisons for their citizens, enriching the most powerful factions in the process, all while imposing harsh austerity on already suffering masses. In sum, Western elites thrive while everyone else loses hope.
More importantly still — and directly contrary to what establishment liberals love to claim in order to demonize all who reject their authority — economic suffering and xenophobia/racism are not mutually exclusive. The opposite is true: The former fuels the latter, as sustained economic misery makes people more receptive to tribalistic scapegoating. That’s precisely why plutocratic policies that deprive huge portions of the population of basic opportunity and hope are so dangerous.

Claiming that supporters of Brexit or Trump or Corbyn or Sanders or anti-establishment European parties on the left and right are motivated only by hatred but not genuine economic suffering and political oppression is a transparent tactic for exonerating status quo institutions and evading responsibility for doing anything about their core corruption.

A very good assessment of the situation from . Worth reading and sharing to counteract the hype being pushed in favour of 'Remain'.

Did A New Study Just Find GMOs Safe? - Questions For Corbett

Why does America attack the I-CIA-SIS it created? Was Gladio an outgrowth of SOE? How do you get a loved one out of the military? And did the National Academy of Sciences just find GMOs to be safe in a new study? Find out the answer to these and other burning questions as James opens the mailbag for this month's edition of Questions For Corbett.

People asked why would the US both fund and fight ISIS? The first thing to remember is that the US has not really attacked ISIS effectively, and secondly everyone is this game is expendable, including US troops. ISIS is ultimately expendable. They are just tools to destroy the secular nation state enemies of Israel in the Middle East.

Petition for Second EU Referendum Under Scrutiny Over Fake Signatures

Petition is being investigated for fraud as about 77K signatures seem to be fake or signed by people who aren't British citizens: thousands from Vatican and North Korea. Marine le Pen even posted a video where she managed to sign it under the name of Napoleon Bonaparte.

The most disgraceful aspect of the Brexit vote is that it seems like democracy is only good enough for one side of this debate and not the other. (There are also the disgraceful claims by those that lost that those voting to leave must be racist).

Leaving the EU is not the disaster people think it will be. It will only be made bad by fear mongering, attacks from big money interests shocking the stock market including the downgrading the UK's credit rating, and similar shenanigans. The benefit is having real democracy from Brussels' edicts.

'Loose Cannons': CIA Arms Destined for Syrian Moderates 'Get Stolen, Emerge on Black Market'

CIA weapons supplied to the so-called “moderate” Syrian rebels via Jordan have been “systematically stolen” to be sold on the black market, a new report based on testimonies of American and Jordanian officials to the NYT and Al Jazeera has revealed.

The US has no business arming the rebels in what is a proxy war. There are no real moderates (certainly none of the leading fighting groups are) and the US knows these kinds of arms transfers - to acknowledged extremists - have been going on for years. What is happening is criminal. US officials, including the President, need to be charged with war crimes - for actively facilitating war (via arms & training) in a country that is not an imminent threat to the USA. Although it is said the US is fighting ISIS it cannot be ignored that they are also attacking the recognised (and legitimate) Government of that country. The US is engaged in an act of aggression via proxy.

Legendary Lie #1 - Lying Crooked Hillary

Legendary Lie #1 - Lying Crooked Hillary by debunkerbuster

Hillary has no shame! The Benghazi attacks were a preventable tragedy disgraced further by Hillary’s web of lies. She knew within hours that the attacks in Benghazi were a terrorist attack, and not a spontaneous protest due to a You Tube Video. But she lied anyways. She stood in front of the flag-draped coffins of four Americans that died serving their country and peddled the lie that the video was to blame both to the victims’ families and the American public.

But she didn’t only lie about what she knew about the Benghazi attack; she had the gall to say that she never told the Benghazi victims’ families that the video was to blame – essentially calling THEM liars.

One family member, Charles Woods – father of Tyrone Woods, a retired Navy Seal killed in the Benghazi attacks on September 11, 2012 –recalls that Hillary told him, “We are going to have the filmmaker arrested who was responsible for the death of your son.” Patricia Smith, grieving mother of victim Sean Smith, remembers clearly what Hillary told her as well and says she never received a real explanation from Clinton or the Obama administration on what happened.

The truth is that massive security failures at the highest levels of the Obama administration and Clinton’s State Department put the Benghazi mission at grave risk as terrorist threats grew daily. Her incompetence cost lives and her attempt to cover up the truth is an indignity on the memory of the fallen heroes in Benghazi.

Obama Administration Approved Gulf Fracking During Deepwater Horizon Disaster

Hydraulic fracturing (or "fracking") technology has been widely used to maximize oil-and-gas production in the Gulf of Mexico in recent years, and the government allows offshore drillers to dump fracking chemicals mixed with wastewater directly into the Gulf, according to documents released to Truthout and the Center for Biological Diversity under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).

From 2010 to October 2014, the Obama administration approved more than 1,500 permit applications for offshore drilling plans that included fracking at hundreds of wells across the Gulf of Mexico, according to the documents. An unknown number of permit applications have yet to be released, so the scope of offshore fracking in the Gulf is likely larger.

During this time regulators issued more than 300 "categorical exclusions" to exempt drilling plans that included fracking from complex environmental reviews. The use of categorical exclusions has been under heavy scrutiny since 2010, when the media learned that BP's drilling plan for the Deepwater Horizon rig was categorically excluded from review in the months before a deadly explosion on the platform caused the worst oil spill in United States history.

Federal records show that regulators approved several drilling plans involving fracking in the Gulf of Mexico even as the Deepwater Horizon disaster unfolded and oil from a broken well spewed into the Gulf for weeks on end.

"The Deepwater Horizon disaster should have been a wake up call that we need to move away from offshore drilling," said Kristen Monsell, an attorney for the Center for Biological Diversity, in an interview with Truthout. "But now the federal government is rubber-stamping practices like fracking without doing any environmental review or notifying the public, and it's just another disaster waiting to happen."

The Campaign To Undermind The Vote — Guest Column by Richie Allen

But I am worried. This afternoon, former mayor of London Boris Johnson and current justice secretary Michael Gove, the leading lights in the Vote Leave team, said there was no rush to invoke article 50. “There is no need for haste,” Johnson said. “As the Prime Minister has just said, nothing will change over the short term except that work will have to begin on how to give effect to the will of the people and to extricate this country from the supranational system.”

But that’s not what the prime minister said is it? Johnson went on to say he foresaw meetings with leaders of EU member states in advance of invoking article 50 and serving notice Britain would leave. This is very alarming. Meeting with EU officials before triggering Article 50? Why? Well, maybe this has something to do with it. Sky News called the referendum for Vote Leave at 4.45AM this morning. Within minutes, their chief political correspondent Faisal Islam, said he imagined a scenario, where Merkel, Hollande, Juncker and Tusk, would come back to Britain, with another deal! Islam said that this deal might offer the option of The UK remaining in the common market, but retaining more control of who enters the country from other member states. This has been repeated on British TV and radio this afternoon, by other commentators.

As an Irishman, the alarm bells have begun ringing and ringing loud. Remember, my country, The Republic of Ireland, was the only country, to hold a referendum on whether or not to ratify The Lisbon Treaty. It took place in June 2008. The Irish rejected it, but a year later, the Irish government came back to the electorate, on the orders of Brussels, with an allegedly better deal. A referendum weary public rolled their eyes and sighed, but the government and the EU won the day and the treaty was ratified. I’ve never known anything as undemocratic. I remain convinced that the EU would have come back again and again if necessary, until the Irish did what they were told.

So I am worried. David Cameron, who will remain as PM until October, should be triggering Article 50 tonight, or tomorrow at the latest. The British people have made their decision. The fact that he hasn’t and that the victors are saying there is no rush, while the media talk of counter offers from the cabal in Brussels, leaves me very worried indeed. In the absence of any real media, we in the independent media, must work harder than ever, to remind people, that while today is a great day and one to be enjoyed, the real work begins now. We have to make sure that pledges made pre-referendum, are honoured and quickly. There should be no talk of any new deal, or another referendum. The process of leaving should begin now, not next month or next year.

Although there might be a move to keep the UK within the EU, many other countries are now looking to leave. There are the French, Austria, Italy, the Netherlands, Denmark, but also Czechia, Hungary, Slovakia, and Greece are ready to leave EU. The EU might self destruct in short order.

Keiser Report (E932): Your Special Brexit Coctail

In this episode of the Keiser Report from New York City, Max and Stacy are joined by Mitch Feierstein of in order to dissect the economic, monetary and financial consequences of the ‘shocking’ Brexit vote - Britain votes to leave the European Union. The Keiser Report team look closer at the market sell off and ask whether or not it is part of a wider market weakness already set in motion months ago and then examine the role of the media, much as in the case of the rise of Donald Trump, in simply failing to understand the ‘disposable’ voters left behind by globalisation. Mitch shows a chart proving that the biggest pound sterling sell off was actually in 2008 and the currency has never really recovered since then. And, finally, they look at the opportunities presented by panic selling.

ISIS to Expand in Indonesia

Indonesia isn’t the first country that you might think of when talking about Islam. Yet at 258 million people, Indonesia is the fourth most populous country on earth, and with Muslims making up 87% of it’s population, it is easily the most populous Muslim nation.

So with Islamic terrorism becoming a major threat around the world, does the largest Muslim nation on earth have a problem with these jihadists? Since 2001, there have been well over a dozen notable terrorist attacks on Indonesian soil, with over 300 people killed. 202 of these were just from the 2002 Bali Bombings of Australian tourists on the Bali tourist island.

The majority of these attacks had links to Islamic terrorism, mostly to the notorious terrorist group Jemaah Islamiah, which is described by the Australian Government as being committed “to overthrow the Indonesian Government and establish a pan-Islamic state in South-East Asia”

While these figures are small in comparison with the number of terrorist attacks in other Muslim nations in the Middle East, a new report by the Institute for Policy Analysis of Conflict (IPAC) is concerned that the numbers will significantly rise due to “more potential fighters willing to take on the war at home” in Indonesia because of the recent tightening of the boarders around the Middle East war against ISIS.

One of the main efforts by the Indonesian government to tackle terrorism has been to put captured terrorists through a de-radicalization program run by Indonesia’s National Counter-Terrorism Agency (BNPT). But the program has come under intense scrutiny since one of it’s ‘graduates’ attacked a police traffic post only months later, as well as a Starbucks and a shopping mall in centre of the nation’s capital Jakarta.

According to an investigation published in ‘The Australian’ newspaper, the program to de-radicalize captured Islamic extremists in the biggest Muslim nation of Indonesia is quite obviously failing.

If the radicals capture a large portion of the youth vote in Indonesia we could see the country move towards having an extremist-nationalist driven Government in the near future. For neighbouring countries, such as Singapore, Malaysia and Australia, such an outcome would constitute a direct threat to their populations. In this scenario, if the US is taken down due to an economic collapse or natural disaster (the Yellowstone volcano), an expansionist Indonesian State might seek to attack its neighbours, in an effort to create a greater 'caliphate'.

Although wars are to be avoided negotiating from a position of strength is always the best way forward. Your national borders and human rights don't actually matter if someone with a gun can simply come and take these things from you.

Contingency planning is needed to ensure an adequate military response to any acts of aggression. There is an Australian Defence White Paper submission that directly addresses this problem: KEY CAPABILITY OBJECTIVES AND MISSION STATEMENT FOR THE AUSTRALIAN DEFENCE FORCE - 2015

Of course the rise of ISIS could be cut short if "the West, Gulf Countries, and Turkey" stopped supporting these extremists in Syria where they are being used as a tool of regime change.

Despite the Vote, the Odds Are Against Britain Leaving the EU — Paul Craig Roberts

The Brexit vote shows that a majority of the British voters understand that the UK government represents interests other than the interests of the British people. As difficult as the British know it is to hold their own government to account, they understand they have no prospect whatsoever of holding the EU government to account. During their time under the EU, the British have been reminded of historical times when law was the word of the sovereign.

The propagandists who comprise the Western political and media establishments succeeded in keeping the real issues out of public discussion and presenting the leave vote as racism. However, enough of the British people resisted the brainwashing and controlled debate to grasp the real issues: sovereignty, accountable government, financial independence, freedom from involvement in Washington’s wars and conflict with Russia.

The British people should not be so naive as to think that their vote settles the matter. The fight has only begun. Expect:

— The British government to come back to the people and say, look, the EU has given us a better deal. We can now afford to stay in.

— The Fed, ECB, BOJ, and NY hedge funds to pound the pound and to short British stocks in order to convince the British voters that their vote is sinking the economy.

— More emphasis on the vote’s weakening of Europe, leaving all to the mercy of “Russian aggression.”

— Hard to resist bribes (and threats) to prominent members of the leave majority and pressure on such leave leaders as Boris Johnson to be reasonable, concillatory and to maintain good relations with Washington and Europe, and to reach a compromise on remaining in the EU.

— Expect the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) to attribute the loss of British jobs and investment opportunities to the leave vote.

Once you learn to think about how things really are and not as the presstitutes present them, you will be able to add to the list all by yourself.

Remember, the Irish voted against the EU and pressure was kept on them until they reversed their vote. This is the likely fate of the British.

Trumps Hillary Killer! Miller Exposes Corruption that Even Trump Won’t Touch!

Trump uses others to help promote his message. Stephen Miller is one of the other voices that Trump is using. He delivers one of the best speeches I have ever heard. Forget Bills’ sex scandals, they will pale in comparison to the utter hell Trump is about to unleash on both Hillary and Bill. You can tell from Trumps last few speeches that he is talking directly to FBI head Comey. Trump knows Comey wants to indict and he is basically telling him that he NEEDS to obey the law! This is going to be a real bloodbath!

A Brief Deconstruction of Moody's: The Macroeconomic Consequences of Mr. Trump’s Economic Policies - A Reply Made to a Facebook Comment.

COMMENT: Here's a report from some so called 'impartial' 'experts' on the Trump economy, so safe to ignore..

REPLY: You mean the experts at Moody's who failed to pick any of the major downturns and that provided Triple A ratings to securities that were essentially junk?

Although I think Trump's tax reductions go too far, they will stimulate economic activity within the country along with a protectionist tariff policy that is designed to bring back internal productive activity (Obama just put a 500% tariff on Chinese steel) The paper speculates (wrongly) that corporations will simply move production to places in South East Asia and that the tariff policy will only target places like China and Mexico. This indicates an incomplete understanding of the policy. The goal is to bring back the US manufacturing base that has largely been offshored. The fact that they don't explicitly point this out makes me suspicious.

The fact that they talk about Globalisation in glowing terms throughout makes me even more suspicious especially when juxtaposed to US growth prospects (more on this later).

The paper begins by justifying itself via appeals to authority - but a record of rating agency performance in recent years reveals that the these authorities have a record of getting things wrong.

Here is a joke: Q:Why did God create economists?
A:In order to make weather forecasters look good.

Going into the specific claims made by the paper ... It says that Mr Trump's economic policies will lead to a more isolated economy with less cross border trade and immigration, and less direct foreign investment (as if this were a bad thing - the US has capital generating capacity). That is the whole point of the Trump economic policies anyway.

It's not like the US will be completely isolated either. Consider what is happening in Russia after the sanctions. Despite actually being economically isolated from their major European partners, the Russian economy, after declining, is now growing again. The country did not fall apart. Internal productive activity necessarily had to increase. And more jobs and business activity means more tax revenue for the Government outside their resource heavy revenue base. Besides, Russia has other trading partners such as India and China that compliments internal job creating activity. US 'isolationism' will not be as extreme as the Russian example or detrimental to their long term growth.

The thing that irked me most about the Moody's paper was its repeated claim about how GLOBALISATION contributes to the 'ongoing economic growth' of the US economy - which is plainly false. How did it contribute to US growth when there wasn't any?

The US economy never recovered from the 2007-9 recession: unless you believe the inflated stock prices on the Dow Jones. You should ask yourself why the Swiss Central Bank has been buying US equities, presumably along with the Federal Reserve plunge protection team, in stocks that comprise 100% of gains on the US S&P500 for the half year in 2015. This is a central bank, but it's acting like a hedge fund.

This is not to say that there are no real buyers here, but the markets are clearly being propped up (along with Gold price suppression - you can research that yourself).

Then you have to consider real US unemployment figures, that the Moody's paper simply states as being at 5% (the U3 figure). A more accurate official measure of unemployment in the US is the U6 figure that has unemployment at closer to 10%. However, with 46 million people on food stamps, record low labour participation rates, and the continuing decline in fulltime employment (admitted in official figures), a real unemployment rate of nearer 20% is more realistic (see This is a disaster - something that Trump has pointed out.

Globalisation has simply been used as cover for corporations of all sorts to engage in labour arbitrage (capital and industry flight aimed at low wage countries) - to places where there are also less workplace health and safety concerns or environmental considerations. The outsourcing of the productive capacity of First World countries to the Third World, to increase corporate profit, is what has destroyed the US economy.

The Moody's paper neglects this fundamental issue of trade - and Trump's trade policy. There is an over-focus on his across-the-board tax cuts where they assume this will lead to (only short term!?) lower growth. They assume offshore industries will simply move to places like South East Asia if Trump puts tariffs on China and Mexico - which shows their modelling must be deficient - because Trump will simply extend the tariffs. Their modelling should assume the building of new factories within US borders.

The biggest problem Moody's pointed out, which I agree with, will be a period of lower revenue and increasing debt if Trump gets in. Nevertheless, their model on these points still cannot be accurate because of their assumptions about trade (and Trump's actual actions against rising US debt are unclear but it is likely to be a default, the debt is practically unpayable anyway).

Their lead chart shows that under Trump, they think there will be a recession and then a period of growth. They assume that EXISTING POLICY will not cause a recession, although there are many indicators of economic activity at present that points to recession:

I simply do not believe their no-Trump/no-recession chart based on existing indicators and Moody's past record. The funny thing is, they do predict growth and relatively low unemployment even with Trump's most hardline policies but after a recession with unemployment going from 5% to 7% and with increased debt and slightly lower GDP. (note: I don't think their 2026 predictions are credible tho. 10 year economic forecasts?)

Whatever happens the US will be faced with some sort of economic Reality Check regardless of who is President. Their idea of 5% rising to 7% unemployment within 5 years shows how out of touch these people are with the reality of today. Things are ALREADY very bad - much worse than reported.

The authors 'warned' that under Trump household income will decline, as well as stock and house prices. But real wages are going nowhere anyway as full time jobs have been converting to lower wage part time jobs. When the US officially falls into recession stock and house prices will go down regardless!!

The biggest problem is we have experienced is what has been characterised as a "jobless recovery" -
Those recent employment numbers are rigged: Although not mentioned at that link, fictional 'unreported jobs' numbers are always added to the employment figures that assumes(!) growth over stagnation or decline. Honest analysis of recent (5 years) jobs figures shows declines or very low added numbers. As I pointed out before, other indicators, like the labour force participation rate shows what is really going on.

And large numbers of people without jobs, or declining income, generally damages prospects for economic growth. People without jobs, or living close to poverty, cannot buy those cheap imported goods in a Globalised marketplace. You could buy plastic buckets perhaps (good for catching rainwater), but what about more expensive goods, and daily food purchases, and the water and electricity bills etc?

The icing on the cake for me was reading their brief comment about the TPP and the 'liberalisation' of trade - that these things are helping growth. Not in the USA. Trump's issue is that such trade deals have not helped US growth and he is right.

I do have reservations about Trump's tax plan in terms of revenue, but, combined with trade tariffs, this will generate non-government growth. The biggest problem will be with the value of the US dollar. High finance has kept the dollar afloat (via Fed/central bank purchases of US Treasuries, Gold price suppression) and forgiven the US debt repayments - where I think Trump will simply default. Plus the US dollar as the reserve (Petrodollar) currency has stopped it declining too.

Yes, I agree with Moody's that Trump won't be able to spend big on the military (if we want to get real on US spending commitments), although he plans to close overseas US bases unless countries pay more for their 'protection.' If he goes after the military-industrial-corporations he will save a lot of money (presently what goes on is a rort) - in the order of tens of billions.

I don't disagree that things will turn bad for the US, but this Moody's thing (they are part of the Washington special interest group club) underplays the benefits of Trumps policies (which will not necessarily be without recession) and MASSIVELY overplays the status quo.

Go and research all the key points I raised about the present state of the US economy before you answer. Thanks for taking an interest.

One more joke:  A physicist, a chemist and an economist are stranded on an island, with nothing to eat. A can of peas washes ashore. The physicist says, "Let's smash the can open with a rock." The economist thinks that's hilarious, and says, "That's ridiculous, you'll have peas all over the place.". The chemist says, "Let's build a fire and heat the can first." The economist thinks that's even more hilarious, and says, "That's ridiculous, the can will explode and you'll have peas all over the place." Both the physicist and the chemist are getting rather irate, and the physicist say, "What do you suggest?" And the economist says, "It's simple. Assume we have a can-opener....."

Also, for fun, watch a few episodes of the Keiser Report (YT). I don't agree with everything that is said on the show, but they do point out key issues concerning financial corruption and most of their guests have expert knowledge that runs counter to what is commonly reported in the mainstream press (although mainstream business news is not all bad - they do point out a lot of things that are then conveniently forgot).

America's Global War: Strategy and Empire - GRTV

As NATO forces conduct full-scale military exercises on Russia’s doorstep, the world’s attention once again turns to Eastern Europe. But as Professor Michel Chossudovsky, author of Towards A WWIII Scenario and The Globalization of War points out, in this era of total warfare, the real threat is not just a military one and its scope is truly global.

Chossudovsky talks about various forms of destabilisation; coups, proxy war terrorists, social 'revolutions' and financial warfare/intervention that benefits elite interests that control Washington policy. The ultimate aim is to draw countries into the US-UK financial sphere of influence.

US Think Tanks Lost in Own Fantasy World of Russian Aggression and Imminent Collapse - Pepe Escobar

So it's time for US Think Tankland – as in CIA front Stratfor, among others – to renew their spin offensive, mixing “analyses” of imminent Russian economic collapse with calls for more NATO pressure over Russia’s western borderlands.

A solid case can be made that Moscow does not need mountains of Western investment; credit can be created in Russia. Most of all, there is rather less productive investment money in the West than wild speculative funds; it’s largely a matter of fiat money and credit, and Moscow does not need to go to the West for that.

As long as Russia uses investment capital to increase the production of goods, this will offset the increase in money supply. So in the end inflation will be negligible. Quite a few Russians must be puzzled at the Central Bank’s Elvira Nabiullina, with her policy of raising interest rates to cut back the increase in investment; that could eventually lead to a strangled Russia. Not accidently Nabiullina happens to be extremely praised by US Think Tankland and the City of London.

As to what credits would Russia use to pay for needed imported technology the obvious answer is to draw from energy exports – especially now with the oil price back on the way up. And here intervenes the temptation to redirect the export of oil and natural gas away from the EU to China and Asia – and let the EU grapple with its eternally inconsistent “energy policy”, which consists mainly of blaming Gazprom

It’s a myth that a dearth of foreign investment today will delay large projects in Russia – including the energy front; China will step up infrastructure investment in Russia with many projects linked to the New Silk Roads and overall Eurasia integration, as even US Think Tankland admits.

Russia may also replace most Western imports other than technology by building their own plants, following the massively successful Chinese model that has enabled Beijing, based on purchasing power parity, to become a larger industrial force than the US or the EU.

One would be hard-pressed to find US Think Tankland focusing on American economic collapse – as true unemployment in the US may be as high as 23%. Inflation is also much higher, as the Bureau of Labor statistics takes out of the commodity basket rapidly rising individual commodities or products and substitutes it for less expensive replacements. This biases inflation to about half its actual rise over time. Meanwhile the — dwindling — “American dream” middle class is being squeezed, and that largely explains the masses coming out to cheer Donald Trump.

So we have reached a geopolitical juncture where the US is politically being torn apart as the EU is flooded by a sort of neo-Visigoth invasion. And this may be just a prelude. EU decision makers are so lost in space that they cannot control the Fortress’s borders (and need a dodgy deal with Sultan Erdogan); but at the same time this does not prevent them from being led to (cold) war with Russia.

EXPOSED: How The Clintons Likely STOLE BILLIONS From World's Poorest

Investor and financial crimes researcher Charles Ortel joins me to uncover what he is calling "the “largest unprosecuted charity fraud ever attempted." Charles reports that the Clinton Foundation is part of an “international charity fraud network whose entire cumulative scale approaches and may even exceed $100 billion, measured from 1997 forward.” And the most shocking aspect of the Clinton Foundation's missing Billions is that much of it was stolen from those who need it most, the world's poorest of the poor. Along with the Bush crime family, the Clintons formed The Clinton-Bush Haiti Fund after the devastating 2010 Haiti earthquake. Charles says, "What the Clintons have done, is they are stealing the people's physical gold in Haiti, as well as perhaps stealing or diverting massive sums that were sent towards Haiti and refusing to make an accounting for it."
This is a story of fraud and corruption so vast in scope that it should result in putting the Clintons in prison, not back in the White House.

U.S. Sets Stage for Libya-Like Regime Change in Eritrea, “Africa’s Cuba”

The United States is methodically setting the stage for a so-called “humanitarian” military intervention against the small northeast African nation of Eritrea, under legal pretexts much like those used to justify NATO’s war of regime change against Libya, in 2011. As in Libya, the U.S. has hijacked the United Nations human rights apparatus to claim a “responsibility to protect” (R2P) Eritrea’s citizens from alleged abuses by their own government. War and regime change are the intended result.

Washington engineered UN sanctions against Eritrea, beginning in 2009, on the patently bogus charge that Eritrea’s determinedly secular government provided “political, financial and logistical support” to Islamist Shabaab fighters in Somalia. Islamic jihadism is anathema to Eritrea, whose population of six million on the shores of the Red Sea is about evenly divided between Muslims and Christians. But few people in the United States knew Eritrea existed, much less its secular revolutionary history and politics. The lies stuck, as did the sanctions, even after the UN Human Rights Council conceded there was no further evidence of Eritrean aid to the Shabaab.

A three-person UN panel now alleges that Eritrea is a lawless state that has committed “crimes against humanity,” enslaving up to 400,000 people and engaging in murder, forced disappearances, rape and torture. Mark Smith, the Australian chairman of the UN Commission of Inquiry on Human Rights in Eritrea, demands that Eritrea be put on trial before the International Criminal Court, a body that has indicted only Africans – and only those that were on the wrong side of U.S. foreign policy – since its creation in 2002. Smith laid the legal groundwork for the overthrow of the Eritrean government:
“There is no genuine prospect of the Eritrean judicial system holding perpetrators to account in a fair and transparent manner. The perpetrators of these crimes must face justice and the victims’ voices must be heard. The international community should now take steps, including using the International Criminal Court [ICC], national courts and other available mechanisms, to ensure there is accountability for the atrocities being committed in Eritrea.”
In February of 2011, the United Nations Security Council, led by the U.S., Britain and France, referred the case against Libya to the ICC, to provide a criminal justice rationale for the military assault that was already underway against Muammar Gaddafi’s government. This time, Washington has instructed its UN proxies to give “humanitarian” legal cover in advance for an attack on Eritrea. The demonization campaign is built around two Big Lies: one, that Eritrea’s system of national service – a form of draft, which is the right of all nations – amounts to “slavery”; and two, that domestic oppression in Eritrea is a prime source of African refugees to Europe, with the tiny nation allegedly accounting for more cross-continental emigration than every other country except war-ravaged Syria.

National service in Eritrea, as in many other countries, includes not only military duty on the front lines with Ethiopia – which still occupies parts of Eritrea in clear violation of an international arbitration agreement – but also labor in public works projects as well as service in health and education infrastructures. (Most teachers in Eritrea, for example, are national service workers.) Lots of folks would call that socialism or nation-building – which is how the Eritreans see it.

The Eritreans defend extended national service on grounds of necessity, citing an existential threat from the Ethiopian military, backed to the hilt by Washington. Economic sanctions have also necessitated that Eritrea mobilize the population to develop its own national resources. However, self-reliance is also a cornerstone of Eritrean domestic development policy, and seen as central to maintaining true national sovereignty and independence. Eritrea rejects foreign “aid” and entanglements with structures of international capital, and is one of only two nations in Africa that has no relationship with AFRICOM, the U.S. military command on the continent (Zimbabwe is the other).

Eritrea’s fierce independence has put it in imperialism’s crosshairs. Eritrea is “Africa’s Cuba” – and the United States treats it as such in a striking variety of ways. Indeed, the other Big Lie against Eritrea – that it is the second largest contributor to the waves of refugees risking life and limb to reach Europe – is directly related to European immigration policies, urged on them by the U.S., that put Eritrea in much the same bind as U.S. policy towards Cuba.

It is insane to believe that little Eritrea, with only six million people, has set more people to flight than neighboring Ethiopia, one of the poorest countries in the world, now in the throes of a devastating drought, with a population 15 times greater; or neighboring Sudan, also desperately poor and afflicted by multiple wars, with 40 million people; or nearby Somalia, a nation without a state, inhabited by 10 million people. Indeed, economic, political and war refugees from all across Africa claim to be Eritrean because, unlike citizens of any other African country, Eritrean refugees are afforded special status on arrival in Europe as presumptive political refugees who might face torture if returned home. As with U.S. Cuba policy, the Eritrean exception was designed to weaken and destabilize the country through a brain and human resource drain. Inevitably, however, the policy has made Eritrean identification papers the hottest selling documents on the streets of Khartoum and other refugee gathering points.

Did Woody Harrelson’s Father Murder JFK? He Was a Convicted Hitman Who Claimed He Did

In his new film Now You See Me 2  (spoiler alert) actor Woody Harrelson plays a character who after being caught by police for being involved in murder proclaims that he is just a patsy. Obviously this a reference to the words uttered by Lee Harvey Oswald after being arrested following the assassination of JFK. It could also be a thinly veiled defense of his father Charles Harrelson who was a convicted hitman who once claimed to have been involved in the murder of JFK, since the character in the film was guilty after all. In this presentation, Houston Police Department forensic artist and facial expert Lois Gibson, places Charles Harrelson at the scene the day Kennedy was killed.

‘RIGGED UK GENERAL ELECTION’ – MAY 2015 (Brexit to lose in 2016)

Many people claim that someone rigged the vote in Thanet South, where UKIP’s Nigel Farage was defeated.

Many people cite:

1. The unusually long time it took for the votes to be counted.
Ballot papers going ‘missing’ for seven hours.

2. The UKIP success in the local elections in Thanet South, which were held at the same time.

In the General Election vote, UKIP’s Farage lost by 2,812 votes to the Conservative candidate Craig Macinklay.

In the local election, Ukip gained overall control of Thanet council.

How come the Scottish independence referendum showed a large NO vote, and yet, a few months later, the Scottish National Party won 56 out of the 59 seats in Scotland?

There are many strange results in the UK general election held on 7 May 2015.
On 29 April 2015, an opinion poll showed that in 50 key marginal seats, Labour was ahead of the Conservatives.
ITV News Conservative Labour Battlegrounds Poll
The ITV News Battleground poll studied the fifty most marginal Conservative-held seats where Labour were second at the last election.

The results showed that Labour led the Conservatives by three points across these seats.

Labour stood at 40% in these key battleground seats, with the Conservatives on 37%.
This represented a swing of 3.5 points from the Conservatives to Labour.

If these results had been replicated on election day, and if there were a uniform swing across all these constituencies, it would have seen Labour win forty of the fifty seats.

Many Conservative candidates in these constituencies were genuinely surprised when they actually won their seats.
In Cardiff North, a Lord Ashcroft poll had put Labour on 41%, ahead of the Conservatives (30%).
Yet the Conservatives won the seat.

It had been predicted by the political expert Ian Dale that Labour would win Brighton Kemptown.
Yet, the Conservatives’s Simon Kirby beat Labour’s Nancy Platts.

In Stroud, the Conservatives won, thus defying the bookmakers’ predictions.
George Galloway says he has uncovered ‘widespread malpractice’ in postal voting, and says that the result in his constituency should be ‘set aside’.
George Galloway to mount legal challenge over election defeat

The media played its part in ‘rigging’ the election.

“The BBC’s sympathetic treatment of the Tories during Election 2015 shouldn’t surprise us, as the head of BBC News and Current Affairs is a man called James Harding, who was previously editor of Rupert Murdoch’s neocon newspaper The Times…”
Google appeared to be trying to hide material linking top Conservatives to child abuse rings, deregulation of the banks…

Stolen ballot papers could have been used to help the Conservatives win in certain key marginal seats.

On 29 April 2015, the BBC reported that a van containing more than 200,000 ballot papers had been stolen.

The ballot papers had been printed in London and were heading for Hastings and Rye and Eastbourne – ahead of voting in the general election on 7 May.

Police said it was believed the van was parked in Longbridge Road, Dagenham, at about 19:30. The theft was discovered at about 06:25.
Stolen van held Hastings and Eastbourne ballot papers – BBC

Rob Ford, senior lecturer in politics at the University of Manchester, noticed that the Conservatives succeeded in concentrating their votes “in the seats where it counted.”

“The Tory vote went up four points in the key marginals it was defending from Labour and in the marginals it was looking to win from the Liberal Democrats.
“Conservative support was flat or falling” in many other areas.
The simplest explanation why the opinion polling in the 2015 UK General Election was wrong is because the vote was rigged. Key areas appear to be targeted - enough to deliver a Tory win.
The evidence that the Scottish independence vote was rigged is damning:

If the 2015 General Election was rigged and the Scottish independence vote was rigged, then you can be CERTAIN that the Brexit vote will be rigged in favour of 'Remain'. Because the race is close due to the murder of Jo Cox (the leave campaign had a growing lead), the fraudsters will have a much better chance of succeeding with their crime unchallenged.
