Why People Reject Conspiracy Theories

The mocking of conspiracy theories in the American press and Western media is based on the simplistic argument that reason is on the side of the government and officialdom, not on the fringe of society and civilization.

Anti-conspiracy proponents ludicrously claim that conspiracy theorists are prey to paranoia and irrational thinking without explaining their own faulty reasoning

Five main reasons for rejecting 'conspiracy theories' according to the article are:

1. Fear.

2. Ignorance.

3. A False Sense of Superiority And A False Sense of Knowledge.

4. Collective Brainwashing.

5. Institutional Silence And Cover-Up.

Not a bad list.
