The SPOOKYWEATHER Top 10 Stories & Issues NOT reported in the Mainstream Press for 2008.

Here are my 10 most important news items missing from the mainstream media that wholly deal with US news since US actions impact greatly on our lives:

1. The 911 Cover-up: The continued omission in the press of mounting criticism against the official 911 story- criticism which shows the official narrative is a fraud. This year we have seen members of the Japanese parliament speaking up, UN officials and hundreds more architects and engineers joining the dissent and papers appearing in the scientific literature. The recent NIST evaluation of the WTC7 collapse was also thoroughly debunked.

2. The Iraq War Lie: The non-reporting and obfuscation of additional evidence showing the attack on Iraq was based on deliberate lies, not mistaken intelligence- that Iraq was not an "imminent threat" to anyone. This re-enforces the fact that the coalition attack was a War Crime. We have had a Congressional Hearing (at the behest of Dennis Kucinich that touched on this matter), a Senate Review on the intelligence, and supporting evidence coming from former White House Press Sec. Scott McClellan in his book "What Happened" that also has information about who was responsible for the criminal exposure of Valerie Plame (CIA).

3. US Impeachment efforts and suppression: We have seen the continued suppression of serious stories dealing with Impeachment efforts made against President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney. Congressman Dennis Kucinich tabled 35 articles of impeachment vs the President in the Congress, reading aloud every charge. He also moved to have Dick Cheney Impeached. There was also a Congressional Hearing (mentioned above) run by the Judiciary Committee (John Conyers) that took evidence of impeachment and then sat on it. Nancy Pelosi this year famously said that she would impeach if there was any evidence but stated that she had not seen any -- this is why the "do-nothing" Democrat-run Congress has such a low approval rating.

4. The Censorship of Presidential Candidate Ron Paul by the US corporate press in the recent US Presidential Elections: Using biased media coverage and poll manipulation Ron Paul was effectively ousted from this contest leaving the unpopular John McCain to run vs Obama. Instead of having a real progressive running for President and a man who has a plan for fixing the US economy and ending the war in Iraq, we were treated to a fake "Maverick" and a fake "Progressive", both figures who are backed to the hilt by the entrenched Washington establishment.

5. Questions about the Economic "Bailout": The failure to accurately report on the highly questionable actions that caused the initial 700 billion dollar bailout to pass- that the threat of Martial Law was invoked, that the US President and Treasury Secretary talked down the markets in the most irresponsible manner in order to generate the fear needed to crash the markets and pass the bill. That the distribution of the government (taxpayer) money was kept secret and that law suits to find out exactly what is going on are pending. This reeks of a scam, and no taxpayer money is going to help/support those who are losing their houses. Criminal inquires may follow if "allowed". I have read that the whole process violates US Law, that the US Senate cannot draft legislation and approve it and then pass it onto the House.

6. White House misinformation, spin and propaganda favouring US strategic goals continues unchecked: There is a failure by the media to identify White House and Pentagon propaganda that frames the "guilt" of entities such as "Al Qaeda", Iran, Russia, Pakistan and Hamas in starting or being involved in various conflicts and events when there is absolutely no evidence to support the claims. In fact usually the opposite of what is being claimed was true ie. the Iranian border has actually been attacked by US backed rebel groups, South Ossetia was sneak attacked by Georgia 1st when the US rants on about Russian aggression etc.

7. State Sponsored Assassinations: The non-reporting of evidence supporting the position that various individuals that have spoken out, or were an implicit threat to the US government/establishment did NOT commit suicide, have accidents and were NOT killed in random attacks. I include DC Madam Deborah Palfrey, Bush election insider Michael Connell, 911 witness to huge explosions inside WTC7 before any of the twin towers came down- Barry Jennings, the death of Kenny Johannemann another 911 witness to huge explosions in the basement of the Twin Towers, the "accidental" death of Albanian arms dealer Kosta Trebicka, the death of Arkansas Democrat Chairman Bill Gwatney etc etc.

8. Corruption Causing the Economic Crisis: Various non-mainstream commentators have called for the jailing of people like Hank Paulson, Greenspan, Bernake and various bankers for allowing the overleveraging of the markets. The crisis unfolding today was predicted many years in advance yet reckless action at the high end of town fuelled a massive unsustainable debt bubble based on low value or worthless underlying assets. Such "madness" could be categorised as criminally negligent or as constituting a racket designed to provide large bonus payouts to the individuals and executives running the inflationary schemes. So far almost everything is contextualised in terms that downplay questionable nature of these "arrangements".

9. Corruption at the US Federal Drug Administration: The US FDA recently stated that high mercury levels in fish are ok without having any scientific basis to refute evidence of the dangers of this neurotoxin. Having a corrupt medical body is literally killing people for the benefit of corporate profits. God knows what other questionable drugs or substances have been approved.

10. Depleted Uranium Munitions: The continued failure to look into the evidence of radiological contamination through DU weapons use by the occupying powers in Iraq and Afghanistan.

[11.] Internet Censorship: Recently You Tube has been taking down various truth videos and altering the counts to keep them off the front page. 911 videos like Fabled Enemies have hit number 1 and were booted.

[12.] The General Corruption in the US Corporate Press (an ongoing matter): Naturally the mainstream press would not expose their own complicity in the cover-up of various controversial topics or crimes, yet online we have many stories showing the "biases" of the US press. We can see examples of bias at the "top" newspapers; the NY Times, The Washington Post, and at all the major national news networks including PBS. We also see bias in the UK with the BBC, but this is less blatant. Examples of media corruption, onesidedness, gross incompetence, deliberate omission etc can easily be found by online researchers.

Once again, where it really counts our media was Missing in Action (or rather not in action), unable to recognise the issues and continuing to regurgitate lies and propaganda. We, the people of the world, seem to have been betrayed by our lax, incompetent, arrogant, and corrupt press. By avoiding these issues the media is almost guaranteeing a miserable outcome for ourselves and future generations.

To the media: You people create the news and decide what issues the public, our politicians, the judiciary and police should follow. In 2009, for those that are not corrupt- you must do a better job, this is not a game.

(Note: that by covering the top 10 stories here real changes to the status quo can be accomplished. Many other world problems will be fixed when a level of truth and journalistic rigor are reintroduced to the public discourse.)

Nanothermites and WTC dust

By Kevin Ryan

This past year I've done some photomicroscopy of samples of WTC dust. A number of examples of the photos can be found in the latest video. The related scientific analyses of the particles found in the WTC dust, in particular the red-gray chips first discovered by Professor Steven Jones, are ongoing.

But I've also spent some time making nanothermites, and igniting them. Here is a slideshow of 26 photomicrographs, half of which are nanothermite residues and half of which are ferromagnetic particles extracted from WTC dust samples. These photos share many things in common, including the presence of metallic microspheres, vesicular formations and red-orange chips. Sometimes it's hard to remember which photo belongs to which category. If the nanothermite residues were mixed with concrete dust and glass fragments, it would likely be much more difficult to notice any differences.

In the slide show at the link we can see that the iron "ferromagnetic" materials from the WTC Dust and the Nanothermite experiments are a very close match indeed. From the Forensic analysis done by Steven Jones we already know the Thermate had been used on the WTC buildings. Here Kevin Ryan make comparisons to a specific type of thermate that was developed in the late 90s- a nanothermite.

These sorts of thermite explosives are high tech and can only have come from a few institutional sources.

Peter Schiff on CNBC: Government Interference Only Makes The Problem Worse

Investor Peter Schiff again went to battle with a raft of establishment talking heads on CNBC yesterday who attempted to propagandize for the bailout by pushing the idea that it was necessary and inevitable.

Schiff pointed out that the word “stimulus” was a misnomer because the government has proven itself incapable of stimulating the economy and has only sought to “interfere with the free market’s ability to create legitimate wealth,” a process that would lead to more inflation and more destruction.

Israel Broke the Ceasefire on November 5th- Six Hamas Activists were killled in a raid.

Nov 5th-- An Israeli military spokesperson claimed that the incursion in the central Gaza Strip came after Israeli intelligence received reports about Hamas plans to abduct an Israeli soldier using a tunnel under the border.

“The Palestinians detonated the tunnel after Israeli forces besieged the building,” he claimed.

With regard to the ceasefire, the spokesperson said the Israeli incursion intended to protect ceasefire.

The de facto government in the Gaza Strip held the Israeli government responsible for all the consequences of their "aggression," describing it as the most serious violation of the Egyptian-brokered ceasefire since it went into effect in June.

Mike Rivero at, from which this story was sourced, makes a good point:

"Gaza and HAMAS had honored the cease fire agreement until November 5th 2008. While Americans were distracted by the Obama election, Israel launched an unprovoked attack into Gaza killing six members of the HAMAS government.

Following this attack, HAMAS announced that the cease fire was (obviously) no longer in effect. Israel's PR campaign continues to insist ( supported by the White House) that HAMAS is to blame for the escalation of violence

Most of these quotes come from established sources (you will have to Google them to discover their origins.). A few of these quotes I made up myself. Reflect on them and recognise that everything must be taken in context:

“Some see things as they are and say why. I dream things that never were and say why not.”

"In times of change, the Patriot is a scarce man; brave, hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, however, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing."

"Common experience shows how much rarer is moral courage than physical bravery. A thousand men will march to the mouth of the cannon where one man will dare espouse an unpopular cause."

"You can ignore reality, but you cannot ignore the consequences of ignoring reality."

"A different world cannot be built by indifferent people.

"The price of apathy is to be ruled by evil men."

"A nation or world of people, who will not use their intelligence, are no better than animals that have no intelligence; such people are beasts of burden and steaks upon the table by choice and consent."

"Those who know the least obey the best."

“How fortunate for leaders that men do not think.” ~ Hitler

"A wise man will make more opportunities than he finds."

"Now remember, when things look bad and it looks like you're not gonna make it, then you gotta get mean. I mean plumb, mad-dog mean. 'Cause if you lose your head and you give up then you neither live nor win. That's just the way it is."

"Never accept the proposition that just because a solution satisfies a problem, that it must be the only solution."

"History will have to record that the greatest tragedy of this period of social transition was not the strident clamor of the bad people, but the appalling silence of the good people."

"It is not necessary to bury the truth. It is sufficient merely to delay it until nobody cares."

"Speak the truth, even if your voice shakes."

"Never doubt that a small group of concerned citizens can change the whole world. It is the only thing that ever has."

"The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it"

"There are a thousand hacking at the branches of evil to one who is striking the root."

"To be forewarned is to be forearmed."

"I don't believe in a no-win scenario."

"One dog barks at something, and a hundred bark at the bark."

"Most human beings have an almost infinite capacity for taking things for granted."

"Carefully, carefully, carefully."

"Open mindedness [and good naturedness] is often confused with weakness of character."

"If you don't control your mind, someone else will."

"A tactician can be drowned in his own tactics."

"The Art of War is to make less mistakes than your opponent."

"Let us keep our minds on victory"

"It doesn't matter how beautiful your theory is, it doesn't matter how smart you are, or what his name is. If it doesn't agree with experiment, it's wrong."

"Conclusions based on false premises are almost always wrong."

"Conclusions not substantiated by evidence and based upon faulty reasoning are irrational and almost always wrong."

"Find the premise which is false and bet against it."

"Often people can't separate their assumptions about events/the world, or what they have been told to think about events/the world, from what the physical primary-source evidence says. They assume both will correlate, whereas this is not always true. Reflective thinkers will recognise the disconnects (hopefully) when they see them (after some level of research perhaps!)."

"Those who cannot bravely face danger are the slaves of their attackers."

"There comes a time when silence is Treason."

"How people treat you is their karma; How you react is yours"

"Don't be such a pessimist monster, you have to be an optimist monster."

"Who dares wins."

"If you don't read the paper you are uninformed. If you do read the paper you are misinformed."

"Unthinking respect for authority is the greatest enemy of truth."

"Condemnation without investigation is the height of ignorance."

"Unresearched objections to data, based upon ignorance and epitomised by the phrase 'it can't be, therefore it isn't', are not valid objections."

"Ask the right questions and get the right answers."

"Hardness taken to extremes becomes inflexibility"

"Many highly intelligent people are poor thinkers. Many people of average intelligence are skilled thinkers. The power of the car is separate from the way the car is driven."

"Men occasionally stumble on the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing had happened."

"Conspiracy theorists, back in the day, were called Investigative Journalists and Researchers. You know, the people that found out what is actually going on. I take the meaning of "conspiracy theorists" as to be a person who believes powerful people, who have a lot of influence, use their power to gain more influence. It's pretty straight forward when you think about it like this....and if you a look at the opposite side of the spectrum, what's the opposite of a "conspiracy theorist"? A "coincidence theorist" ? Somebody who thinks that eeeeeeeeeeverything happens by coincidence...Take both of these and put them side by side, conspiracy theorist vs. coincidence theorist, which one sounds more insane?"

"Sometimes the first duty of intelligent men is the restatement of the obvious."

"Faced with the choice between changing one's mind and proving there is no need to do so, almost everyone gets busy on the proof."

"He who will not reason is a bigot, he who cannot is a fool, he who dares not is a slave."

"If they can get you asking the wrong questions, they don't have to worry about answers."

" 'New' or radical ideas are always progressions of existing ideas, one's imaginings and the environment."

"Most people prefer to believe their leaders are just and fair even in the face of evidence to the contrary, because once a citizen acknowledges that the government under which they live is lying and corrupt, the citizen has to choose what he or she will do about it."

"When Injustice becomes Law Resistance becomes Duty."

"He who does not bellow the truth when he knows the truth makes himself the accomplice of liars and forgers.”

"Be humble for you are made of the earth. Be noble for you are made of the stars."

"Effort, Patience, Temperance, Respect, Creativity."

"Imagination is more important than Intelligence"

"Those who lack imagination cannot imagine what is lacking."

"Arrogance diminishes wisdom."

"Timing beats speed."

"Organisation beats disorganisation."

"Knowledge beats ignorance."

"Over every possessor of knowledge there is one that is more knowing."

"Don't take for granted the obvious fact that we all see the world through our own set of filters and sets of knowledge."

"Remember, the world is big enough so that there is always more to discover. If there is evidence to show new knowledge then be wise enough to follow the evidence."

"Knowledge might be power, but only when you take action."

"The more you know, the more you can discover, and the more you can do."

"You can swim all day in the Sea of Knowledge and still come out completely dry. Most people do."

“You're entitled to your own opinions. Your are not entitled to your own facts.”

"I'm interested in processes not just "facts" because facts derive from, and can be better understood, via the processes that create them."

"The greatest obstacle to discovering the shape of the earth, the continents and the ocean was not ignorance but the illusion of knowledge."

"In terms of discovering new things, don't throw the baby out with the bath water. Often new knowledge is challenging - coming from strange places or misplaced amongst quackery - and being at odds with some of the existing (not necessarily correct) paradigm. More circumspect minds will think and investigate first rather than issue wholesale dismissals."

"Learning preserves the errors of the past as well as its wisdom."

"Sooner or later, everyone sits down to a banquet of consequences."

"Only when the last tree has died and the last river been poisoned and the last fish been caught will we realise we cannot eat money."

"You can only fool me a couple of dozen times before I get suspicious"

"None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free."

"The struggle of people against power is the struggle of memory against forgetting."

“One of the prevailing sources of misery and crime is in the generally accepted assumption, that because things have been wrong a long time, it is impossible they will ever be right.”

"Hey mate, your rat bastards are just as corrupt as our rat bastards."

"If the truth about 911 isn't important, then what is?"

"Enemies are necessary for the wheels of the U.S. military machine to turn."

"What amazes me are all these people screaming to save the world from carbon dioxide who will not lift a finger against war."

"Nullius in verba."

"Fiat justitia ruat caelum"

Luke Skywalker: "Your overconfidence is your weakness."
The Emperor: "Your faith in your friends is yours."

"Everything in context."

"Think for yourself and CHECK the evidence. Beware of propaganda, trick arguments and misinformation or disinformation."

"Think for yourself and question everything."

"Don't let the bad guys win"

"There is no such a thing in America as an independent press, unless it is out in country towns. You are all slaves. You know it, and I know it. There is not one of you who dares to express an honest opinion. If you expressed it, you would know beforehand that it would never appear in print. I am paid $150 for keeping honest opinions out of the paper I am connected with. Others of you are paid similar salaries for doing similar things. If I should allow honest opinions to be printed in one issue of my paper, I would be like Othello before twenty-four hours: my occupation would be gone. The man who would be so foolish as to write honest opinions would be out on the street hunting for another job. The business of a New York journalist is to distort the truth, to lie outright, to pervert, to vilify, to fawn at the feet of Mammon, and to sell his country and his race for his daily bread, or for what is about the same -- his salary. You know this, and I know it; and what foolery to be toasting an 'Independent Press! We are the tools and vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are jumping-jacks. They pull the string and we dance. Our time, our talents, our lives, our possibilities, are all the property of other men. We are intellectual prostitutes." ~John Swinton (1829–1901) was a Scottish-American journalist, newspaper publisher, and orator

This list will be updated on occasion.

Please remember, it doesn't take very many people coming together and working together to make a massive difference.     Just think of scientific discoveries, technological breakthroughs, political movements ... organised people with imagination and knowledge can do all sorts of things, and then have millions 'take advantage' of their work. Unless they are put in jail or burnt at the stake, which tends to set back the agenda ... Don't give up or else there will be no change.

Cheney Admitted to FBI he altered Plame talking points in a Manner Certain to Expose Her

Murray Waas has uncovered a major piece of evidence tying Vice President Dick Cheney to the efforts to attack Joe Wilson by exposing his wife as a CIA operative:

Vice President Dick Cheney, according to a still-highly confidential FBI report, admitted to federal investigators that he rewrote talking points for the press in July 2003 that made it much more likely that the role of then-covert CIA-officer Valerie Plame in sending her husband on a CIA-sponsored mission to Africa would come to light.

Cheney conceded during his interview with federal investigators that in drawing attention to Plame’s role in arranging her husband’s Africa trip reporters might also unmask her role as CIA officer.

Cheney's office did its best to expose Plame in an effort to draw attention from her husband's work that showed the Niger Uranium claims were false. The evidenc of wrongdoing was strong enough to convict Scooter Libby, and there is still a case to be made against Cheney, Rove and other accomplices in this treason.

Of course by undermining efforts to monitor Iran's nuclear ambitions (part of Plame's CIA mission) the neocons have managed create a position in which they can claim that the Iranians pose a threat. Nevertheless the US still has to deal with the IAEA which has found no evidence of a Iranian nuke program.

Analyst: One Third Of Banks Could Collapse In 2009

Financial analyst Ralph Silva of TowerGroup told CNBC this morning that he expects no less than one third of banks to fail in 2009 and that anything up to a thousand could collapse if they don’t merge.

Silva said that only five or six global banks have enough funds to survive comfortably throughout 2009.

“The rest of the banks, and that means a thousand other banks, don’t have enough money to get themselves through 2009,” added Silva.

Michael Connell's Death + Threats from Rove over Ohio Election Fraud, Missing Email's. Case Goes International

This guy was going to speak out about what he knew regarding the US election fraud and ended up dead. In a less corrupt world, whistleblowers like Connell would get immediate high level witness protection. In an ideal world police and federal agents would act decisively by raiding the offices of suspected high officials confiscating all relevant documents as soon as a warrant is issued.

Obama Is A Hawk

By John Pilger

(14/06/08) In 1941, the editor Edward Dowling wrote: "The two greatest obstacles to democracy in the United States are, first, the widespread delusion among the poor that we have a democracy, and second, the chronic terror among the rich, lest we get it." What has changed? The terror of the rich is greater than ever, and the poor have passed on their delusion to those who believe that when George W Bush finally steps down next January, his numerous threats to the rest of humanity will diminish.

The foregone nomination of Barack Obama, which, according to one breathless commentator, "marks a truly exciting and historic moment in US history", is a product of the new delusion. Actually, it just seems new. Truly exciting and historic moments have been fabricated around US presidential campaigns for as long as I can recall, generating what can only be described as bullshit on a grand scale. Race, gender, appearance, body language, rictal spouses and offspring, even bursts of tragic grandeur, are all subsumed by marketing and "image-making", now magnified by "virtual" technology. Thanks to an undemocratic electoral college system (or, in Bush's case, tampered voting machines) only those who both control and obey the system can win. This has been the case since the truly historic and exciting victory of Harry Truman, the liberal Democrat said to be a humble man of the people, who went on to show how tough he was by obliterating two cities with the atomic bomb.

Understanding Obama as a likely president of the United States is not possible without understanding the demands of an essentially unchanged system of power: in effect a great media game. For example, since I compared Obama with Robert Kennedy in these pages, he has made two important statements, the implications of which have not been allowed to intrude on the celebrations. The first was at the conference of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (Aipac), the Zionist lobby, which, as Ian Williams has pointed out, "will get you accused of anti-Semitism if you quote its own website about its power". Obama had already offered his genuflection, but on 4 June went further. He promised to support an "undivided Jerusalem" as Israel's capital. Not a single government on earth supports the Israeli annexation of all of Jerusalem, including the Bush regime, which recognises the UN resolution designating Jerusalem an international city.

His second statement, largely ignored, was made in Miami on 23 May. Speaking to the expatriate Cuban community – which over the years has faithfully produced terrorists, assassins and drug runners for US administrations – Obama promised to continue a 47-year crippling embargo on Cuba that has been declared illegal by the UN year after year.

Again, Obama went further than Bush. He said the United States had "lost Latin America". He described the democratically elected governments in Venezuela, Bolivia and Nicaragua as a "vacuum" to be filled. He raised the nonsense of Iranian influence in Latin America, and he endorsed Colombia's "right to strike terrorists who seek safe-havens across its borders". Translated, this means the "right" of a regime, whose president and leading politicians are linked to death squads, to invade its neighbours on behalf of Washington. He also endorsed the so-called Merida Initiative, which Amnesty International and others have condemned as the US bringing the "Colombian solution" to Mexico. He did not stop there. "We must press further south as well," he said. Not even Bush has said that.

It is time the wishful-thinkers grew up politically and debated the world of great power as it is, not as they hope it will be. Like all serious presidential candidates, past and present, Obama is a hawk and an expansionist. He comes from an unbroken Democratic tradition, as the war-making of presidents Truman, Kennedy, Johnson, Carter and Clinton demonstrates. Obama's difference may be that he feels an even greater need to show how tough he is. However much the colour of his skin draws out both racists and supporters, it is otherwise irrelevant to the great power game. The "truly exciting and historic moment in US history" will only occur when the game itself is challenged.

Ron Paul warns on Martial Law Provisions

The United States is one false flag attack away from becoming a hardcore police state.

They Called It Right (Plus Predictions for 2009)

Who saw the financial meltdown of 2008 coming? Why the bears, of course. Kiplinger's Personal Finance went back to see which investors, analysts and academics made the right predictions about the market and economy in 2008 and asked each for their 2009 outlook. Although some, like Jeremy Grantham, see hope for 2009, these Cassandras remain a dour bunch. As for us, we expect that the recession will end in mid-2009 and that stocks could gain 5% to 8% for the year (see Outlook 2009).

Ok, it's prediction time.

I agree with the people in the link that say the crisis will drag on for over a year. I think that fundamentally, the US consumer is overburdened with poor job choices, low wage rates, and too much debt. Furthermore, I think many large US businesses (including banks) are also saddled with preposterous amounts of debt that will make the situation even more dire as they go under with low consumer spending. The cycle will feed itself like in the early 1930s. The US economy will continue to stagnate with the prospect of low continued growth on the other side of the Depression.

I further "predict" that we will see another false flag terror attack on US soil that will be used as cover for the failing economic conditions -- "we were just getting our economy back on it's feet when ...". The terror attack will also be used as an excuse to round up anti-government dissenters plus "unwanted" people who will end up in one of the hundreds of recently constructed FEMA work camps. We will see the US turned into a highly controlled police state where a portion of the population will be made to work on the cheap to gain the "people's trust" again. Heck, you are either "with us or you are with the terrorists". And Obama has said he expects people to chip in and make a contribution- those that don't help will get short changed. Furthermore, a climate of suspicion will be prevalent as some of the listed "terrorists" will be American citizens in league with Al Qaeda or some other foreign power.

In the near term the US economy will keep sinking, recover slightly under fraudulent market manipulation, then crash drastically (with a US debt default ?) all blamed on terrorism. Then it will slowly crawl downward and flatline during a police state period after which a recovery will come into effect. Other countries will suffer greatly as the US crashes (& defaults on its debt) but they will have better prospects to recover. It's going to be a very rocky ride for the next 2-3 years. Note: I expect the crash period here to be a huge event that will linger for very many months - until low growth or at least stagnant conditions come about with the police state.

Japan’s Recession Deepens as Factory Output Plummets

Japan’s recession deepened in November as companies cut production at the fastest pace in 55 years and rising unemployment prompted households to pare spending.
The decline in production was the biggest since comparable figures were first made available in February 1953. Shipments also fell the most on record. The ministry downgraded its assessment of output, saying it’s “declining rapidly.”

The recessionary/depressionary cycle is underway. Global trade, including monetary trading, is only so good until one part of the world system goes under. If your economy relies too much on overseas exports in a period of decline then job cuts at home will be almost inevitable.

Look to see national economies becoming more self sustaining.

The Pentagon is muscling in everywhere. It's time to stop the mission creep.

We no longer have a civilian-led government. It is hard for a lifelong Republican and son of a retired Air Force colonel to say this, but the most unnerving legacy of the Bush administration is the encroachment of the Department of Defense into a striking number of aspects of civilian government. Our Constitution is at risk.

President-elect Barack Obama's selections of James L. Jones, a retired four-star Marine general, to be his national security adviser and, it appears, retired Navy Adm. Dennis C. Blair to be his director of national intelligence present the incoming administration with an important opportunity -- and a major risk. These appointments could pave the way for these respected military officers to reverse the current trend of Pentagon encroachment upon civilian government functions, or they could complete the silent military coup d'etat that has been steadily gaining ground below the radar screen of most Americans and the media.

While serving the State Department in several senior capacities over the past four years, I witnessed firsthand the quiet, de facto military takeover of much of the U.S. government. The first assault on civilian government occurred in faraway places -- Iraq and Afghanistan -- and was, in theory, justified by the exigencies of war.

The strategic games are all about gaining advantage and control. The situations that the author talks about here (see later in the article), about the military's (or CIA's ?) desire to have knowledge about actions taken against the Afghan poppy production, make perfect sense since these institutions are making money off these crops. The CIA will buy the plants, as they have done previously, to sell in the US. Afghan soldiers actually guard the poppy fields from which the Karzai government makes a great deal of money (see end of article here). All these groups are linked.

NIST & the Design of Building 7 — Texas Engineer, Richard Gage, and Alex Jones

Texas Engineer calls into the Alex Jones show and discusses with Richard Gage elements of the steel construction of Building 7. Some excellent photos of steel construction are in this short video.

Derek, a mechanical engineer familiar with aspects surrounding steel welds, states: “Engineers have an ethical responsibility to protect public health and safety. If we designed building 7 wrong, shouldn’t we get many opinions on where we went wrong…so we don’t have more buildings falling at freefall speed from office fire?”

Derek points out that NIST has not been forthcoming with sharing building 7 construction contract documents with the public, and therefore blocking an independent Finite Element Method survey, which will solve many many mysteries which lie therein.

The engineer here makes a very good observation about the robust nature of steel-framed high rise building design; that the columns and floor beams are bolted and welded together at many different locations making the structure immensely strong.

The problem for NIST is that they cannot account for the WTC7 steel structure to have NO effect whatsoever during a period of free fall when some level of structural resistance should have been in effect. The visual data shows that the steel columns had a resistance equivalent to air, which of course is impossible under normal circumstances.

Given this situation, the only reasonable assumption one can make is that the columns, or sections thereof, were REMOVED near instantaneously as the building "fell" through itself. In this event, the use of explosives charges would be the logical method by which such columns could have been cut. Later forensic evidence actually proved the Explosive Demolition hypothesis to be correct with the discovery of MOLTEN STEEL & THERMATE products in the dust and from samples (see here).

Obama & Biden To Protect Bush Administration Criminals

It’s par for the course for Obama and Biden, the men who promised “change” but in every step of their preparations for assuming office have pursued nothing but continuity, to acknowledge that they will protect criminals in the Bush administration from prosecution for authorizing torture, a complete violation of both the U.S. constitution and the Geneva Conventions.

When asked by ABC host George Stephanopoulos if top level Bush administration officials would be prosecuted for mandating prisoner abuse, Biden said that he and Obama would be “focusing on the future,” adding “I think we should be looking forward, not backwards.”

Such rhetoric goes to the very heart of the gigantic con job the “Obama change” hoax has wrought upon millions of befuddled Americans who naively presumed that voting for the lesser of two evils would result in anything other than more evil.

If Biden is also speaking for Obama in regard to this "policy" of "looking forward" then members of the new Administration must be considered to be obstructing justice in terms of hindering investigations into criminal activity. Thus far the current US Congress is in violation of their sworn duty, and are subject to legal repercussions, since under law these representatives MUST act to impeach a President when evidence of criminal activity has become apparent. US District Attorneys have every right to take legal action to rectify this situation (hint hint).

New Forensic Evidence could Free Libyan Convicted of Lockerbie Bombing

Fresh evidence has cast doubt on the conviction of a Libyan for the Lockerbie bombing 20 years ago that killed 270 people.

New forensic analysis on a fragment of the timing device alleged to have triggered the bomb that brought down Pan Am jet 103 on December 21, 1988, is said to have found no trace of explosive residue.

Lawyers acting for Abdelbasset Al Megrahi, the 56-year-old Libyan jailed for life for the bombing in 2001, will present the evidence at a forthcoming appeal into his conviction.

His legal team says the new information supports claims the timer was planted by investigators in a politically-motivated attempt to incriminate Libyan leader Colonel Gaddafi.

Sources close to his defence team say the tests should have revealed significant traces of explosive residue caused by the blast.

Despite the Optimism, Iraq is Close to the Edge

George W Bush, barely a month away from leaving office, flew to Baghdad last weekend for an eight-hour visit. On Wednesday, it was Gordon Brown's turn. The arrival of president and prime minister in the Iraqi capital is part of a concerted effort to draw a line under the debacle that Iraq has become for the American and British governments. After nearly six years of occupation, Bush was keen to stress the progress he claimed had been made.
Anglo-American declarations of progress and stability need to be treated with caution. Even today, Iraq is far from peaceful; an average of 500 people are murdered each month, making it one of the most dangerous countries in the world. Baghdad at the end of 2008 is a deeply divided city. Neighbourhoods that were religiously and ethnically cleansed by the wave of violence that engulfed the city before 2007 are now fortified by row upon row of concrete blast walls.

Bush "surged" US troops at the beginning of 2007 to reduce violence and trigger some form of political reconciliation and a negotiated settlement. This is yet to happen, so there is a real danger all-out conflict could reignite. Bush and Brown are loathe to use the term "civil war" to describe what took place in Iraq in 2006 and 2007 but this is exactly what happened.

Dick Cheney is guilty of WARCRIMES by his OWN admission

Cheney is one of the key suspects in the 911 false flag attacks. His authorising of torture techniques against "Al Qaeda" agents is, therefore, particularly disgusting because it is almost a certainty that he knows these people had nothing to do with the 911 operation (which was an inside job he had a hand in).

"Bush Guilty Of First Degree Murder"

Former L.A. County Prosecutor, Vincent Bugliosi and author of "The Prosecution of George W. Bush For Murder", details prosecutable evidence of murder by George Bush, Dick Cheney and others.

George W Bush knew and purposely lied to America and mislead The Congress about "Saddam Hussein NOT being an IMMINENT threat" to the United States by deleting that critical sentence in a declassified report (The White Papers) by his own Intelligence Advisors in order to start the War with Iraq.
[see video clip below]

By lying in order to start the war Bush and his co-conspirators knew they would be sending many US servicemen and women to unnecessary deaths. Hence the Murder charges.

[Not] Prosecuting Bush and Cheney for Torture

A month before he takes office, it has become the conventional wisdom in our conventional media that Barack “No Drama” Obama will not seek or even allow any prosecution of Bush administration officials for crimes committed over the past eight years—not even for authorizing and promoting the illegal use of torture on captives of America’s wars on Iraq, Afghanistan and “terror.”

Take that pillar of conventional thinking, the New York Times. A lengthy December 18 editorial laid out a solid case that approval for torture had come from top Bush/Cheney administration officials, and then concluded that “A prosecutor should be appointed to consider criminal charges against top officials in the Pentagon and others involved in planning the abuse.” But then the paper’s editors went on after that to give Obama a pass, saying, “Given his other problems—and how far he has moved from the powerful stands he took on these issues early in the campaign—we do not hold out real hope Barack Obama, as president, will take such a politically fraught step.” In the view of Times’ conventional-thinking editors, it would appear that the American government cannot be expected to prosecute criminals and fight a recession at the same time.

There is no mention of the obvious point that if crimes have been committed—and in the case of the authorizing of torture, which is banned by both international treaties to which the US is a signatory, and by US law, which folded the torture bans into the US Criminal Code for good measure, they clearly have been—the president and his incoming attorney general have a sworn obligation to prosecute them. That’s what “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution” means, after all.

A “politically fraught” step? That should apply to not prosecuting criminals, should it not?

U.S. Debt Approaches Insolvency

In the United States, the danger of debt insolvency is growing, putting at risk the currency reserves of foreign countries, China chief among them. According to new figures published by Bloomberg in recent days (Nov. 25, 2008 [1]), the American government has employed a total of 8.549 trillion dollars to stop the financial crisis. This means a total of about 24-25.4 trillion dollars of direct or indirect public debt weighing on American taxpayers. The complete tally must also include the debt - about 5-6 trillion dollars - of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, which are now quasi-public companies, because 79.9% of their capital is controlled by a public entity, the Federal Housing Finance Agency, which manages them as a public conservatorship.

In 2007, public debt in the United States was 10.6 trillion dollars, compared to a GDP (gross domestic product) of 13.811 trillion dollars. In just one year, direct and indirect public debt have grown to more than 100% of GDP, reaching 176.9% to 184.2%. These percentages exclude the debt guaranteed by policies underwritten by AIG, also nationalized, and liabilities for health spending (Medicaid and Medicare) and pensions (Social Security)[2]. By way of comparison, the Maastricht accords require member states of the European Union (EU) to reduce their public debt to no more than 60% of GDP. Again by way of comparison, in one of the EU countries with the largest public debt, Italy, public debt in 2007 was equal to 104% of GDP.

If (when) the US economy finally tanks the rest of the world will be in dire straits.

One of my sources died in a plane crash last night...

I don't usually reveal sources, but I think this is incredibly important. Michael Connell died in a plane crash last night. He was a key witness in the Ohio election fraud case that I have been reporting on. More importantly, however, he had information that he was ready to share.

You see, Mike Connell set-up the alternate email and communications system for the White House. He was responsible for creating the system that hosted the infamous accounts that Karl Rove and others used. When asked by Congress to provide these emails, the White House said that they were destroyed. But in reality, what Connell is alleged to have done is move these files to other servers after having allegedly scrubbed the files from all "known" Karl Rove accounts.

In addition, I have reason to believe that the alternate accounts were used to communicate with US Attorneys involved in political prosecutions, like that of Don Siegelman. This is what I have been working on to prove for over a year. In fact, it was through following the Siegelman-Rove trail that I found evidence leading to Connell. That is how I became aware of him. Mike was getting ready to talk.

White House Lied About Iraqi Yellowcake Buy, But That’s Not the Biggest Scandal

A new congressional report is belatedly confirming what many have long known: that the White House and in particular then White House Counsel Alberto Gonzales, lied to Congress in 2004 when he told them the Bush administration was not repeatedly warned by the CIA not to make the claim that Saddam had tried to buy uranium ore from Niger.

What is astonishing about this report, which documents that the CIA at least four times tried to prevent Bush and other top officials from presenting that lie to Congress and the American public in the run-up to the Iraq invasion, is not that it documents what has long been known, but that Congress and the corporate media are still pretending that the claim itself was an acceptable justification for launching a war.

Set aside for the moment the fact that the claim that Saddam Hussein had tried to buy uranium ore (so-called yellowcake) from the desert nation of Niger was based upon forged documents which were almost certainly the work of Defense Department hacks in the Rumsfeld/Cheney-created Office of Special Plans (see my book The Case for Impeachment). Even if this fraudulent deal had been real, how on earth could it have been used as it was by President Bush and Vice President Cheney to justify an invasion of Iraq?

Consider that what was being asserted was that Iraq had attempted (not even succeeded!) to buy 400 tons of uranium ore. This claim was used by President Bush, in his Jan. 20, 2003 State of the Union address, to argue that Iraq had a nuclear weapons program. But in the case of a country that does not have a nuclear weapon, a program is years away, perhaps a decade or more away, from the reality of having a usable weapon.

CNBC's Biased Reporting On The PPT

By Lee Rogers

The President’s Working Group on Financial Markets otherwise known as the Plunge Protection Team is a group that was created following the stock market crash of 1987 to ensure market confidence and stability. The existence of this group is not debatable. It was originally created by Ronald Reagan via executive order 12631 to include the Federal Reserve Chairman, the Treasury Secretary , the Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission Chairman. George W. Bush has met with this group on more than one occasion this year to discuss what could be done in response to the myriad of problems facing the financial markets. This link to the Whitehouse's own Internet site describes one of those meetings. The bottom line is that in order to fulfill the group’s mandate of ensuring confidence and stability in the markets, it becomes necessary to facilitate some sort of intervention in the market. There is no other way around this and considering the bizarre market action that we’ve seen lately with the S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average spiking up at the end of trading hours with no real rationale behind the moves, it is logical to look at a group like the Plunge Protection Team which has the authority and the power to do something like this.

Of course that doesn’t apply to corporate controlled media outlets like CNBC. When guest Scott Nations from Fortress Trading brought up the idea of this group intervening in the market on the CNBC show Squawk Box, it was immediately dismissed as an Internet conspiracy theory. It didn’t matter that the CNBC talking heads had no factual information to dispute what Mr. Nations was saying, they just said that it was crazy to think that the government would manipulate the market. The video of the exchange is below and it is really quite an eye opener to see how uncomfortable the CNBC reporters look when trying to downplay the significance of the Plunge Protection Team.

Intervention in the market by the Plunge Protection Team and the Federal Reserve has been going on for a long time. In fact the gold and silver markets show all sorts of obvious signs that indicate market manipulation. Incredibly, wild price swings downward in both the gold and silver spot prices almost always seem to occur during New York trading hours. This usually occurs without any sort of real tangible event or news story that would normally be required to trigger such a sell off. The wild market activity that Mr. Nations was referring to on his CNBC appearance is just more evidence of the same type of activity. There is simply no way to explain away these events occurring unless there is an attempt by powerful interests to manipulate the markets.

Perhaps most disturbing about Mr. Nations’ appearance on CNBC is the reaction of the so called reporters. There was simply no objectivity by these people indicating their obvious bias. One of the talking heads even made the comparison of believing that the Plunge Protection Team is manipulating markets to the equivalent of believing that explosives brought down the Twin Towers. This was an obvious attempt to mislead the audience back into a mind controlled false reality. Of course there is a great deal of validity to the possibility that explosives brought down the Twin Towers and the Plunge Protection Team manipulating the market which is ironic considering the negative spin this was supposed to convey to the viewing audience.

The primary reason behind CNBC’s bias is the fact that their parent company General Electric has as their Chief Executive Officer a man by the name of Jeffrey Immelt who just happens to also be a member of the New York Federal Reserve’s board of directors. This proves conclusively that CNBC has a severe conflict of interest and their coverage of the financial markets and especially their coverage of the Federal Reserve and Plunge Protection Team cannot be taken seriously. Are the CNBC talking heads really going to provide unbiased coverage of the Federal Reserve or the Plunge Protection Team considering that their CEO plays a key role at the New York Federal Reserve? The answer is no. These talking heads aren’t going to go against the best interest of their boss and provide objective and truthful coverage on an institution and group that benefits off of their biased coverage. This is just basic common sense.

The Plunge Protection Team is real and one has to consider their role in all of this bizarre market activity that has taken place. To dismiss government intervention as a possibility is ridiculous considering that the Federal Reserve and the U.S. Treasury have combined already to dump trillions into the market. The market is a rigged game and anyone who thinks that we have a free market is living in fantasy land. There should be an investigation into the Federal Reserve and the Plunge Protection Team but clowns like these CNBC talking heads are preventing any legitimate discussion on this and other subjects by discrediting anyone who brings these topics up. Why aren’t they discussing the End the Fed rallies that are slated to take place this weekend? A bunch of angry people demanding the end to the Federal Reserve is a newsworthy item, but apparently they don’t think so because their boss is part of the corrupt system. It is all a big joke. CNBC’s so called reporters are nothing more than a bunch of high paid propagandists and spin artists. They cannot be trusted to provide the truth about anything related to the Federal Reserve or the Plunge Protection Team.

There are heaps of articles that cover the role of the PPT. I ask the question, when the market is being hammered, and there is only bad news, who in their right mind would step in and start buying up stock ? In the middle of a catastrophic plunge ? As stated at the top, to do their job, it becomes necessary for the PPT to step in and buy up stocks.

Three Undersea Cables Cut Causes Significant Disruption in Europe and Asia

France Telecom has reported today that 3 major underwater cables were cut: “Sea Me We 4” at 7:28am, “Sea Me We3” at 7:33am and FLAG at 8:06am. The causes of the cut, which is located in the Mediterranean between Sicily and Tunisia, on sections linking Sicily to Egypt, remain unclear.

This reminds me of those previous incidents in which MANY undersea cables were cut over a short time period. The circumstances surrounding these events was suspicious such that it was almost impossible for this to have been accidental or due to an act of nature.

Cutting these cables kills off a large portion of Internet traffic- and note what area of the world this is impacting upon. Perhaps we will soon see a devastating false flag attack (in the US, Europe, or Iraq) in which the accused nation (Iran) will be unable to communicate a rebuttal before a counter strike is launched.

At this point in time "the powers that be" might well be looking for a convenient scape goat in order to switch people's attention onto an "outside enemy" as the world slides into a severe depression.
Watch out for more cable cutting and prepare for martial-law/police-state conditions.

Shocking Study Finds Most Will Torture If Ordered

Some things never change. Scientists said on Friday they had replicated an experiment in which people obediently delivered painful shocks to others if encouraged to do so by authority figures.

Seventy percent of volunteers continued to administer electrical shocks -- or at least they believed they were doing so -- even after an actor claimed they were painful, Jerry Burger of Santa Clara University in California found.
Burger was replicating an experiment published in 1961 by Yale University professor Stanley Milgram, in which volunteers were asked to deliver electric "shocks" to other people if they answered certain questions incorrectly.

Milgram found that, after hearing an actor cry out in pain at 150 volts, 82.5 percent of participants continued administering shocks, most to the maximum 450 volts.

The experiment surprised psychologists and no one has tried to replicate it because of the distress suffered by many of the volunteers who believed they were shocking another person.

If I recall correctly, this obedience test was done to discover why so many people followed the Nazis.

We Used To Execute People For Waterboarding ! [Dick Cheney Admits Involvement in Authorising Torture]

The crimes are obvious and there is documentation to back the charges. Apart from the torture war crime the video here brings up the illegal nature of the Iraq War, that it was undertaken under false pretenses and that there was no threat posed by Iraq. The architects of these crimes are clearly unindicted war criminals.

What's more, the Democrats, who had every opportunity to launch impeachment proceedings with regard to these very serious breaches, did nothing. This is why the US Congress has been recording single digit approval ratings (and add the fact that the domestic economy has been far from robust for many years).

The status quo must be challenged for if there is no outcry, if no one spreads information so that good, honest and courageous people in authority are encouraged to act then we can only expect more of the same or worse. Certainly things will not get much better in the new Administration with more establishment cronies and cover-up artists joining the ranks.

In Search Of - The Coming Ice Age

The recent cold weather has reminded me of the fact that we are living in an interglacial period. Although we are pumping tons of carbon into our atmosphere, which I don't think can be a good thing, the Ice Ages have more to do with the heat coming from the Sun. The Sun's intensity waxes and wanes as part of its natural cycle and there's nothing we can do about it. Having said that, it is a good idea to make plans to lessen our impact on the environment in the expectation there will be no immediate return to a glacial period.

FDA Stuns Scientists, Declares Mercury in Fish to be Safe for Infants, Children, Expectant Mothers!

By Mike Adams

In a truly astonishing betrayal of public safety (even for the FDA), the U.S. Food and Drug Administration today revoked its warning about mercury in fish, saying that eating mercury-contaminated fish no longer poses any health threat to children, pregnant women, nursing mothers and infants.

Last week, the FDA declared trace levels of melamine to be safe in infant formula. A few weeks earlier, it said the plastics chemical Bisphenol-A was safe for infants to drink. Now it says children can eat mercury, too. Is there any toxic substance in the food that the FDA thinks might be dangerous? (Aspartame, MSG, sodium nitrite and now mercury...)

This FDA decision on mercury in fish has alarmed EPA scientists who called it "scientifically flawed and inadequate," reports the Washington Post. Even better, the Environmental Working Group ( issued a letter to the EPA, saying "It's a commentary on how low FDA has sunk as an agency. It was once a fierce protector of America's health, and now it's nothing more than a patsy for polluters."

Is anyone really surprised? The FDA is a drug-pushing, people-betraying, scientifically illiterate criminal organization that, time and time again, seeks only to protect the profits of powerful corporations whose products poison the people. This statement is no longer a mere opinion. It is an observable fact based on the FDA's own pattern of behavior and its outlandish decisions that predictably betray the American public.

The real reason this is happening

You want to know the REAL reason the FDA is easing up on its warning about mercury in fish? It's because the agency is being relentlessly pounded over two related issues: Mercury in dental fillings and mercury preservatives in vaccines. And the FDA can't keep up its lie about the "safety" of vaccines and mercury fillings if it has already declared mercury to be dangerous in fish, right?

To the criminal minds running the FDA, the clever solution is to revoke the warning about mercury in fish. Thus, the FDA takes the position that all mercury is safe, and suddenly they're off the hook on mercury fillings and thimerosal in vaccines.

In other words, the FDA has just aligned itself as a defender of one of the most neurotoxic substances that's ever been found. Only a truly corrupt regulator could even attempt to defend such a position, and only a truly insane individual could argue that mercury exposure is safe for infants, children and expectant mothers. Not coincidentally, mercury exposure causes insanity (look up the historical term "mad as a hatter").

Given that most of the FDA decision makers probably have mercury fillings in their mouths and mercury molecules lodged in their brains from getting their vaccine shots, it's no stretch to consider the possibility that the FDA decision have, in a very strict medical sense, lost their minds due to mercury exposure. There's hardly any other way to explain the mad behavior of FDA officials.

I think it's time we called for an FDA MUTINY and declared the leaders of that agency to be too incompetent to run it anymore. These people need to be relieved of command before their hazardous pronouncements lead to yet more consumers being poisoned or killed. The FDA scientists, in my opinion, should revolt (in a non-violent way, of course) against the politically-motivated decision makers spewing all this "eat more poison" advice.

GM Files: Horrifying New Disease Contains Identical Material to GM “Food”

Just in case you thought it was fine to eat Genetically Modified foods (better identified as “FrankenFoods”), along comes a study which makes it clear that you are eating this make believe non-food at your own peril and, worse yet, you are feeding it to your kids at their peril as well. It is important to note that Codex Alimentarius, which sets standards for the international trade of food, permits genetically modified foods and makes no effort to limit, control or eliminate them. In fact, the US has been trying for years to prevent the labeling of GM foods and seed in international trade to emulate its domestic policy which prohibits any label indication that foods contain GM ingredients, as 75-80% of all foods sold in the US do.

Now it appears that the increasingly prevalent nightmare of a disease called “Morgellon’s Disease” may be a result of GM crops and food.

This is a real horror story.

With any new technology where the costs of development are high and the detrimental effects are subtle it may take decades before the severity of any problems fully emerge. Dioxins and asbestos worked extremely well in their day yet now we see that the collateral damage to people's health was disastrous.

A great deal more research (that is open and transparent) needs to be conducted on the effects of GMOs. Once the cat is out of the bag then we might be in trouble ...

Career Army Officer Sues Rumsfeld, Cheney, saying No Evacuation Order given on 9/11

A career Army officer who survived the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, claims that no evacuation was ordered inside the Pentagon, despite flight controllers calling in warnings of approaching hijacked aircraft nearly 20 minutes before the building was struck.

According to a timeline of the attacks, the Federal Aviation Administration notified NORAD that American Airlines Flight 77 had been hijacked at 9:24 a.m. The Pentagon was not struck until 9:43 a.m.

On behalf of retired Army officer April Gallop, California attorney William Veale has filed a civil suit against former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, Vice President Dick Cheney and former US Air Force General Richard Myers, who was acting chairman of the joint chiefs on 9/11. It alleges they engaged in conspiracy to facilitate the terrorist attacks by not warning those inside the Pentagon, contributing to injuries she and her two-month-old son incurred.

A fair test of the 911 evidence in a court of law will reveal many problems with the official narrative. Everything will be done to keep a lid on this case. Don't be surprised if this action is derailed.

Dollar No Longer Haven After Fed Moves Rate Near Zero

The world’s biggest currency-trading firms say the dollar’s appeal as a haven amid the financial crisis all but evaporated.

The U.S. currency slid to a 13-year low against the yen today and had its biggest one-day decline versus the euro after the Federal Reserve reduced its target interest rate yesterday to a range of zero to 0.25 percent, the lowest among the world’s biggest economies. CMC Markets said today the currency’s prospects appear “ominous.” State Street Global markets said the dollar’s outlook has been “undermined.”

A weak US dollar is very bad for the world economy since it currently underpins the oil trade. Countries that dump US petrodollars will only lessen the value of the greenback. The US economic bailouts are also unleashing a tidal wave of US dollars that are being used to prop up bankrupt businesses. In this environment the value of the US dollar must be severely diminished. This situation is likely cause hyperinflation in the US.

As U.S. jobs disappear at a rapid clip, the official unemployment figure seems understated. While November's 6.7% rate is a full 2% higher than the same time last year, the rate remains well below the 10.8% postwar peak, reached in November 1982. One issue is that the official unemployment number captures only a slice of the total joblessness in the U.S. To be counted as unemployed in this statistic, a worker must not have a job, be currently available for work, and have actively sought employment within the last four weeks. In other words, a lot of the jobless are left out of the government's tally.
Fortunately, digging deeper into the labyrinth of the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics' (BLS) Web site can offer a more complete, if imperfect, picture of joblessness. Since 1993, the BLS has tracked a category of unemployed called U-6, which captures the total unemployed, plus what the agency calls "marginally attached" workers and those employed part-time "for economic reasons." For November 2008, that rate was 12.5%, nearly double the official unemployment rate and the highest since the government started tracking this category.

Cheney says he had Key Role in Interrogation Methods

Vice President Dick Cheney said yesterday that he was directly involved in approving severe interrogation methods used by the CIA and that the U.S. detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, should remain open indefinitely.

Cheney's remarks on Guantanamo appear to put him at odds with President George W. Bush, who has expressed a desire to close the prison, though the decision is expected to be left to the administration of President-elect Barack Obama.

Cheney's comments also mark the first time that he has acknowledged playing a central role in clearing the CIA's use of an array of controversial interrogation tactics, including a simulated drowning method known as "waterboarding.",0,110697.story

Mr Cheney should be arrested immediately for authorising torture.

IMF Chief Warns of Violence if Financial System Benefits Only the Elite

Last night, the head of the IMF warned of violence from financial policies which only benefit the elite:

"If we are not able to do that [jump-start economic activity], then social unrest may happen in many countries - including advanced economies," Strauss-Kahn said.

He added that violent protests could break out in countries worldwide if the financial system was not restructured to benefit everyone rather than a small elite.

The IMF is a tool for first world bankers, corporations and governments. IMF loans to distressed nations always come with harsh strings attached, involving deregulation and privatization of institutions for the benefit of foreign powers.

The IMF may "save" some countries but it is at the expense of that nation's control of their wealth. The loans they issue, like those of the World Bank, are often excessive with the repayments keeping the target country "in check" for decades.

At the end of the day the condition of the common people and the foundation of the assisted economy is often very little improved. The situation may have arrived when there is very little choice but for the IMF to be more equitable with global wealth. Don't hold your breath on this one ...

Iraqi Group files 200 Lawsuits Against Rumsfeld, US Security Firms for Torture

A Jordan-based Iraqi rights group said on Monday it has filed 200 lawsuits against US former defence secretary Donald Rumsfeld and American security firms for their alleged role in torturing Iraqis.

Ali Qeisi, head of the group the “Society of Victims of the US Occupation in Iraq,” said the cases, relating to torture and abuse of Iraqi prisoners, have been recently filed in federal courts in Virginia, Michigan and Maryland.

“Around 30 lawsuits have been accepted so far,” Qeisi told AFP. The others are still under consideration.

“The torture was systemic, and those responsible for it should be punished and the victims should be compensated,” he said.

US leaders who authorised, or were party to the authorisation of waterboarding, stress positioning techniques, sleep deprivation and other methods that caused "non-permanent" injury are clearly in violation of International Law. In the past such practices have been labeled by US authorities as torture and so, if there is to be any justice in the world, these individuals must face trial.

Attorneys: Fort Dix Terror Plot Was “Planted And Nurtured” By FBI Informants

Lawyers in a case relating to a much vaunted 2007 terror plot have concluded that FBI informants were the key figures behind the operation and that the accused, six foreign-born Muslims, were merely bungling patsies.

Defense attorneys have denied there was any plot, arguing two FBI informants concocted and encouraged the conspiracy because they were being paid and promised legal immigration status, reports the New Jersey Star-Ledger.

“The only terrorist conspiracy was one planted and nurtured by the informant” argued attorney, Rocco Cipparone as he highlighted exchanges between the informant, Mahmoud Omar, and defendant Mohamad Shnewer in a conversation after the two men drove to the Fort Dix Army base 25 miles east of Philadelphia last year.

At the time the incident was hyped by the mainstream corporate media as a major coup for Federal authorities as they announced that they had foiled a complex radical Islamist terrorist plot to attack Fort Dix and kill “as many soldiers as possible” at the heavily fortified Army base.

Five of the men who were arrested were born in Jordan, Turkey, and the former Yugoslavia. It soon became apparent, however, that none of them had any ties to international terrorism.

FBI and military agents were also at the heart of the 1993 bombing of the Twin Towers and the 1995 Oklahoma City Bombing. Subsequent investigation and court testimony showed that the Feds had direct knowledge, were informed or had actively aided these attacks. Much or the recent terrorist chaos in the world has been allowed (or made) to occur in order to serve political ends.

Operation Northwoods Exposed

Operation Northwoods Exposed - Starring Alex Jones, Jesse Ventura, and James Bamford. Note: The official “Operation Northwoods” document was originally obtained by George Washington University’s National Security Archive through the Freedom of Information Act and can be viewed online here:

The US Joint Chiefs of Staff actually signed off on this operation which involved conducting false flag terror attacks in the US. It was only stopped because the President vetoed the plan. Very scary to think that regular US military leaders could be party to such a plan, yet ... from what we know of other "dirty" plots, this sort of action should not be surprising. (And with 911 it can be seen that these chickens really did come home to roost.)

After the collapse of the World Trade Centre buildings previously molten iron spheres were found all throughout the dust which blanketed lower Manhattan. These tiny spheres were corroborated by the EPA but not explained.

Later analysis by physicist Steven Jones revealed these spheres to bear the chemical signature of the explosive THERMATE including traces of Fluorine, Manganese, Sulphur, Potassium, etc. The physical match was unmistakable. A great deal of the building steel had been subject to the action of high temperature explosive incendiaries.

Significantly the THERMATE signature that was evidenced from the iron spheres ruled out their origin as being from any welding done during building construction or the clean up. Furthermore, the heat observed here, necessary to form the spheres could only occur when the metal was molten, and was far in excess of the temperatures reached in the building fires.

Further analysis on a sample taken from a steel beam recovered from the rubble pile also showed the thermate signature.

The evidence here is damning. The highly unusual collapse of all three buildings was undoubtly due to the action of the explosive incendiary Thermate. See this link for more information: and here for a video lecture on this evidence.
