Obama introduced a plan to spend $15 billion fixing up foreclosures. Not money to help put people back in their homes, but money given to the industrial home buyers that are going to rent the houses back to the people that were kicked out.

And to really twist the knife, the gov owns about half of the foreclosed homes in the US, and they’re going to sell them at bargain basement rates, just because they have to unload them fast. Of course, first in line to buy them up are “institutional investors” (the 1%), listen to the venture capital firms gloat about the burgeoning new market.

The new police chief Suyun Omurzakov, who used to be a deputy minister of interior, has been known as a highly influential drug lord, a leader of organized criminal groups, and he was the subject of a criminal investigation in the past:

Iran War Reality Check; U.S Going to War with Iran, What to Expect.

Russia and China have armed Iran to the teeth, Iran also have advanced domestically made missiles anti ship missiles, torpedoes, and high electronic warfare capabilities. An attack on Iran will lead to a huge world disaster.

I think there will be an attempt at War and the plan will be this (in reference to the video above):

1. The Dimona Nuclear Plant will be secretly shut down well in advance to prevent fallout from any retaliatory strike by Iran.

2. Multiple false flags will be used at the outset of the conflict to show Iran sinking oil tankers, engaged in terrorist attacks etc. It is likely the conflict will be initiated with a minor incident against Iran - a surgical strike in response to some supposed Iranian transgression, or conflict in Syria with which Iran has a defense pact? The War will then be escalated rapidly, until Iran truly lashes out, enough to allow a full scale response.

3. The ships in the Gulf will be semi expendable. They will be tasked to do the best they can, but the focus of the air war will be staged primarily from land bases.

4. The Israelis and US may not immediately bomb the Iranian nuclear reactor but will capture it later on via a ground war covered by aircraft. The air attack will heavily bomb everything else for a long period of time.

5. There will be a communications blackout on Iran and propaganda put out (if necessary) to vilify the Iranians under attack.

(6) It is also possible that at some stage a tactical nuke will be used on the Iranian nuclear reactor making a ground invasion "unnecessary". This is a "bad" option because of the fallout danger and the ending of the bombing operation which the protagonists would want to continue for as long as possible.

Indeed, I think the primary objective would be to dismantle Iran with a long bombing campaign designed to partly fracture the country if possible.

The Iranians can be beaten by existing US and Israeli (and NATO?) forces so long as one is prepared to accept some causalities and not expect a quick campaign. Consider what happened in Libya. If proxy "rebels" could be generated for an attack inside Iran then this would be huge bonus element in the attack plan.

Remember the goal here is not really to bomb the nuke plant but the breakdown of an entire country.

The War here, of course, is totally unnecessary. Iran is not a threat to anyone. The collateral damage in these attacks is only going to kill many thousands of innocent people. Yes, this attack will cause an economic calamity.

On Friday, Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) announced new legislation to protect the food supply from a potential crisis brought about by biotech giants like Monsanto,and the unrestricted use of their GMOs - Genetically modified organisms.

H.R. 3554, The Genetically Engineered Safety Act, would help prevent the biological contamination of our food supply.

Kucinich’s common sense legislation would prohibit the open-air cultivation of genetically engineered (GE) pharmaceutical and industrial crops. The bill would prohibit the use of common human food or animal feed as the host plant for a genetically engineered pharmaceutical or industrial chemical.

H.R. 3554 would also establish a tracking system to regulate the growing, handling, transportation, and disposal of pharmaceutical and industrial crops, and protect native ecosystems and traditional farms from the unstudied dangers of growing GE organisms.

Now, there is a problem at Reactor 6 it seems, though that one was suppose to be in very stable condition.

7 tons of water has leaked from the reactor. They don't say where it leaked to in the article on NHK.

Besides the revelation 7 tons of water has leaked from Reactor 6. TEPCO did not properly maintain the water pipes for the reactors for cold weather. I am at a loss for words in how could they possibly not take care of the pipes. TEPCO needs to be put out of business immediately! If they can not take care of winterizing pipes and taking precautions for winter weather at a Nuclear Power plant that is already in melt down mode, what are they doing with all their other nuclear power plants in Japan?

Several detainees in Libya have died in recent weeks as a result of torture, according to Amnesty International. The human rights group says the crimes were committed by the Libyan military and security forces. The accusations follow similar claims by a French medical aid agency. Thousands of Gaddafi loyalists remain behind bars, now suffering the same atrocities handed out under the late Colonel's regime.

It might be that there was no popular uprising in Libya but a revolt in the East that was backed by NATO warplanes and special forces troops. It would be interesting to see the results of an open and fair election.

The supposed ‘consensus’ on man-made global warming is facing an inconvenient challenge after the release of new temperature data showing the planet has not warmed for the past 15 years.

The figures suggest that we could even be heading for a mini ice age to rival the 70-year temperature drop that saw frost fairs held on the Thames in the 17th Century.

Based on readings from more than 30,000 measuring stations, the data was issued last week without fanfare by the Met Office and the University of East Anglia Climatic Research Unit. It confirms that the rising trend in world temperatures ended in 1997.

Meanwhile, leading climate scientists yesterday told The Mail on Sunday that, after emitting unusually high levels of energy throughout the 20th Century, the sun is now heading towards a ‘grand minimum’ in its output, threatening cold summers, bitter winters and a shortening of the season available for growing food.

We can see who is right in this argument very easily. If we get more harsh winters then we know there is a problem with the CO2 climate models. We already know their are problems with the data/analysis being used by various climate researchers.

The U.S. Navy is planning to refit the USS Ponce, an amphibious transport docking ship, which was about to be retired and decommissioned.

With Iran dealing oil for gold, in transactions involving India and China, an attack seems very likely.

If I were the leadership of Iran I would think about inviting third party scientists into all of the Iranian nuclear facilities to show they are hiding absolutely nothing. The Iranians might also want to invite Russian, Chinese and Indian forces into the Persian Gulf who can provide radar coverage of the region so that the location of a first attack can be determined (ie to counter a submarine launched missile in a false flag against US ships.)

The same poor nations where thousands of farmers routinely commit suicide after being completely bankrupt by Monsanto’s overpriced and ineffective GM seeds.

The same company that we recently exposed to be running ‘slave-like’ working conditions, forcing poor workers to operate the corn fields for 14 hours per day while withholding pay.

According to Gates, this is the company whose GMO crops are going to save the world from starvation. Of course, along with ‘saving the world from starvation’, GMO crops also bring along a large number of unwanted health and environmental effects.

A prominent review of 19 studies examining the safety of these crops found that consumption of GMO corn or soybeans can lead to significant organ disruptions in rats and mice – particularly in the liver and kidneys.

Leaked Japanese Report Details 'Worst-Case' Nuclear Scenario

The report, leaked recently to the Associated Press, detailed several ways the nuclear crisis could escalate, including reactor explosions, complete core meltdowns and structural failures preventing water pools from cooling spent nuclear fuel.

The authors are quoted as saying "we can not rule out further developments that may lead to an unpredictable situation" at the plant, if the meltdowns spiral out of control and radiation levels spike. In that case, the authors said evacuations should be ordered within a 170-kilometer radius, with voluntary evacuations provided for everyone living within 250 kilometers and beyond.

The largest proposed evacuation area would have included Tokyo and its suburbs, with a population of 35-million residents.

Japanese regulators and politicians have come under heated criticism for how they disseminated information in the hours and days after disaster struck. Officials initially denied that plant reactors had melted down, and have since been accused of minimizing the health risks of radiation exposure.

Letter to MSM - Fukushima Daiichi Surrounding Area is NOT Safe for Journalists or Other Humans.

The following letter was sent to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) after I saw a clip that had one of their journalists walking around on a beach in very close proximity to the Daiichi Nuclear facility in Fukushima.

Dear ABC,

I know you do not treat seriously claims of high level "conspiracies" or heinous cover ups by the leaders of Western Countries but you must take a highly detailed look into what is happening at Fukushima.

Recently, on 7:30, I saw one of your journalists walking around on the beach with a search team looking for human remains. In the background, perhaps a few kilometers away, was the Daiichi Nuclear facility.

I do not know how long your crew was in the area but I will almost guarantee that they were exposed to very hazardous levels of radiation as if they had been in the Chernobyl exclusion zone.

Please understand that the disaster at Fukushima is at least equivalent to what happened at Chernobyl and is probably worse. The Japanese Government claims that the plant (remains) are in a state of "cold shut down" but is a lie. Radiation levels coming from the plant recently went up.

The reactor remains are still producing harmful fission products that are spewing out and blanketing the nearby areas. Your journalists on the beach were undoubtedly exposed to small amounts of Caesium, one of these harmful products.

The problem is that the Governments of Japan, Canada and the US (and other European countries with nuclear programs) are loathe to admit there is an ongoing crisis that will lead to the death of many tens of millions of people.

In the face of being denied honest answers from Governments and nuclear authorities, all of which are tied to the nuclear power industry, you must think for yourselves. Do some research and then draw your own conclusions from the data that is available in the public domain.

Think about the fact that above ground nuclear testing was banned in the 1960s because of the danger from the relatively tiny (when compared to Chernobyl and Fukushima) amounts of fallout being produced by a few kilos of Uranium:

Evacuate your reporters from Northern Japan. Areas up to and beyond Tokyo should be considered inside a radiologically contaminated zone. The food and water should be avoided.

Remember the immediate effects of low level radiological poisoning will not be noticed in mature animals but will be seen in high infant mortality rates and later in high cancer rates in the general population.

The disaster at Fukushima should have resulted in a massive global effort designed to entomb the ruined facilities as quickly as possible. Unfortunately this did not happen and now we will all be paying the consequences. Some fallout will reach every corner of the Earth. This is especially true because we have had nine months of continuous particle release from the plant.

On board of the oldest US aircraft carrier, the USS Enterprise, Panetta told the crowd of 1,700 sailors that the 50-year-old ship is heading to the Persian Gulf region in a direct message to Tehran.

“The reason we maintain a presence in the Middle East ... We want them to know that we are fully prepared to deal with any contingency and it's better for them to try to deal with us through diplomacy," Panetta said.

The USS Enterprise is the oldest active duty ship in the American naval fleet and its mission dates back to the Cuban missile crisis in 1962 and the Vietnam War.

"With the collapse of the oil embargo to force Iran into a confrontation over the Straight of Hormuz, the US and Israel are looking for another way to get the long-sought war with Iran started, and more to the point, need to make it look like Iran is starting hostilities in order to make it politically more difficult for Russia and China to support Iran.

Now, recall that Israel has a past history of attacking US warships and framing others to trick the US into attacks on Israel's enemies, with the Israeli attack on the USS Liberty (initially blamed on Egypt) as the most well-known example.

So here we have the USS Enterprise, the oldest carrier in the fleet, on her last legs, scheduled to be decommissioned next year. Her name is well known, in part because of the Star Trek TV series. Decommissioning a nuclear aircraft carrier is a very expensive process. USS Enterprise is powered by 8 nuclear reactors, all of which must be disposed of as nuclear waste material along with all the associated machinery. The US Navy would save a great deal of money, more than the scrap worth of the steel, if USS Enterprise were to be sunk in the Persian Gulf, where the radioactive mess is someone else's problem to deal with.

So, why send an ancient ship at the end of her useful life into harms way? The same reason Franklin Roosevelt moved a bunch of obsolete warships from San Diego to Pearl Harbor, while the newer carriers and warships were well away from Hawaii on December 7th, 1941.

Israel has 3 Dolphin submarines, given to her by Germany. They have been seen transiting the Suez Canal in the past, and could well be operating in the Gulf of Oman, even the Persian Gulf by now, lying in wait for a used-up and obsolete warship, more useful as a sacrificial lamb than an actual weapon, a ship with American sailors, to be attacked as Israel attacked the USS Liberty, then to be blamed on the designated target, Iran, by a compliant media."

There's a new sweetener in town and it isn't saddled with the inconvenience of having to be listed on labels, so it can be sneaked into any prepared food, even USDA so-called Organic. So sayeth the FDA. Neotame is a Monsanto-created chemical similar to Aspartame, including its neurotoxic properties.

Monsanto developed Neotame as their Aspartame patent was expiring, and had no trouble in gaining FDA approval in 2002. They added 3-dimethylbutyl, a chemical listed as hazardous by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), to Aspartame, making it both sweeter and more toxic.

TEPCO has just announced - Radiation being emitted from Fukushima is 70 million becquerels per hour - It is increasing - Up 12 million from last month.

You notice reactor 3 (Mox fuel) has been releasing the most radiation in TEPCO's announcement?

I posted about reactor 3 last week and it being in trouble.

We also know from a Fukushima insider that reactor 4 has been boiling.

Oh, I am sure they will tell everyone that there is no real radiation problem. But they don't give a damn at TEPCO, because as they see it and are telling the courts, once the radiation leaves their plant, it is no longer theirs. When it lands on people's property it is then the owner of that property's radiation. They don't have to clean it up or anything. One court in Japan thought that argument was correct the the person that brought the lawsuit against TEPCO lost in court for his land being made toxic.

Let's face it Japan's government will never stand up for the people. They are going to let their people die horrible deaths. They hide the radiation and they ridicule the people who are concerned about it.

The U.S. and Canada are no better. They have shut down radiation sensors in California. They have lied about the radiation saying it did not make it over to the U.S., the media is ignoring Fukushima.

Why is Ron Paul America’s last chance?

A copy of the letter, which the nuclear scientist also sent to the Iranian Ambassador to the United Nations, was made available to 21st Century Science & Technology magazine yesterday.

The following message sent to President Barack Obama this morning is based on experience-based knowledge.

There is no weapon threat from Iran's important, fully safeguarded nuclear power and research programs. Sanctions based on false claims of a threat have disrupted Irans economy and Iranians' day to day lives, preclude effective negotiations with Iran to resolve problems and increase world dangers.

The ultimate product of Iran's gas centrifuge facilities would be highly enriched uranium hexafluoride, a gas that cannot be used to make a weapon. Converting the gas to metal, fabricating components and assembling them with high explosives using dangerous and difficult technology that has never been used in Iran would take many years after a diversion of three tons of low enriched uranium gas from fully safeguarded inventories. The resulting weapon, if intended for delivery by missile, would have a yield equivalent to that of a kiloton of conventional high explosives.

Drawings of weapons found in Iran by International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors are fakes, prepared by dissidents to harm Iran. Any drawing for a nuclear weapon program would be stored in a top secret vault and never seen by inspectors.
Please share this information with your cabinet, Members of Congress, all Americans, and leaders of other nations, and the United Nations; end sanctions against Iran's nuclear programs and support strengthening Iran's economy.

In the past, journalist Chris Hedges has worked for NPR, The New York Times and the Christian Science Monitor. In his latest endeavor, however, he is teaming up with an unlikely pair: a couple of attorneys that will help him take on the president.

US President Barack Obama is the target of a suit filed by Pulitzer Prize-winner Hedges, and the reasoning seems more than obvious to him. The decision to take the commander-in-chief to court comes as a response to President Obama’s December 31 signing of the National Defense Authorization Act, or NDAA, a legislation that allows the US military to detain American citizens indefinitely at off-site torture prisons like Guantanamo Bay.

Obama amended the NDAA with a signing statement on New Year's Eve, insisting that while the Act does indeed give him the power to detain his own citizens indefinitely without charge, that doesn’t mean he will do so. Specifically, Obama wrote that his administration “will not authorize the indefinite military detention without trial of American citizens.” Under another piece of legislation, however, the government is being granted the right to suspend citizenship of any American if the Enemy Expatriation Act joins the ranks of the NDAA as an atrocious act approved by the president.

They are also found in numerous brands of underarm deodorant. However, a causal link has never been found between them and breast cancer.

Republican presidential candidates Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, and Jon Huntsman may have dwindling funds in their campaign coffers. But they each have billionaires backing their super PACs, allowing them to continue running top-shelf campaigns, Politico reports.

The fat cats include Las Vegas casino titan Sheldon Adelson, who just ponied up $5 million for the pro-Gingrich super PAC Winning Our Future – money that will allow the group to widely distribute a video blasting front-runner Mitt Romney for his tenure at private equity firm Bain Capital.

Meanwhile, Foster Friess, who built one of the country’s top money management firms, is providing major financial support for the Red, White and Blue Fund, the super PAC supporting Santorum. The group’s $537,000 of ad spending in Iowa may have played a crucial role in pushing the former Pennsylvania senator to a second-place finish in the Hawkeye State’s caucuses.

Huntsman was born wealthy. His father, Jon Huntsman Sr., founded Huntsman Chemical, which helped turn the entrepreneur into a billionaire. He has reportedly given millions to Our Destiny, a super PAC supporting his son.

The three candidates should thank their lucky stars for various federal court rulings in 2010 that allow a single donor to plough unlimited money into a super PAC, which can then use the money to boost a candidate.

Milky Way Crammed With 100 Billion Alien Worlds?

Last year, using the exoplanets discovered by the Kepler space telescope as a guide, astronomers took a statistical stab at estimating the number of exoplanets that exist in our galaxy. They came up with at least 50 billion alien worlds.

Today, astronomers from the Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI) in Baltimore, Md., and the PLANET (Probing Lensing Anomalies NETwork) collaboration have taken their own stab at the "galactic exoplanetary estimate" and think there are at least 100 billion worlds knocking around the Milky Way.

Why has the estimate doubled? The key difference here are the methods used to detect alien worlds orbiting distant stars.

From this analysis, the PLANET team made a rough estimate of 100 billion exoplanets living in our galaxy. Additionally, they found that one-in-six stars host a Jupiter-mass exoplanet, half the stars in the Milky Way have Neptune-mass exoplanets and two-thirds of the stars have Earth-mass worlds.

Interestingly, this result points to least 1,500 exoplanets within 50 light-years from the solar system.

The conversion of US agriculture to monochemical herbicide practice has resulted in the extensive use of glyphosate herbicides. Coincidentally, farmers have been witnessing deterioration in the health of corn, soybean, wheat and other crops, and epidemics of diseases in small grain crops. All are associated with the extensive use of glyphosate, which has increased further since the introduction of glyphosate-tolerant, Roundup Ready (RR) crops.

Glyphosate immobilises nutrients required to maintain plant health and resistance to disease. This weakening of the plants defence could explain the infestation of GM crops with the new pathogen, which has now been observed in horse, sheep, pigs, cows, chicken, multiple animal tissues including reproductive parts (semen, amniotic fluid), manure, soil, eggs, milk, as well as the common fungal pathogen that is currently infesting RR crops, Fusarium solani fsp glycines mycelium. All are coming into contact with glyphosate either through direct exposure or consumption through animal feed. It is also highly abundant in crops suffering from plant Goss’ wilt and sudden death syndrome.

Nutrient-deficient, transgenic plants suffering from disease that also harbour herbicide residues, presents an array of possible safety hazards to animals and humans. According to Huber, possible harm include direct toxicity of glyphosate itself, which has been shown to cause endocrine disruption, DNA damage, reproductive and developmental toxicities, neurotoxicity, cancer, and birth defects (see [10]Glyphosate Toxic and Roundup Worse,SiS26; [11]Death by Multiple Poisoning, Glyphosate and Roundup,SiS42; [12]Ban Glyphosate HerbicideNow.SiS43; [13]Lab Study Establishes Glyphosate Link to Birth Defects,SiS48). Furthermore, allergies are on the rise, and animals are showing allergy responses, including inflamed irritated stomachs (Figure 3), discoloration of stomach lining, leakage of intestines as well as behavioural symptoms of irritability and anti-social behaviour in cows (abnormal for herd animals). Inflammatory bowel disease in humans has risen 40 percent since 1992, which may be related to consumption of GM foods, although this has not yet been proven.

The increase in infestation of crops with fungal pathogens that produce toxins is an added concern. I think there is a high likelihood of some sort of global bioweapon release - a modified bird flu perhaps started in China (an opponent of the US military industrial complex).

Also, the initial damage done to the world from Fukushima has not fully revealed itself. Tiny amounts of ingested material are highly hazardous to one's health and the health of one's offspring. We are likely to see a large increase death rates in Northern Japan (inc. Tokyo) and other areas of the planet where there was fallout.

Certainly look out for attempts to control the Internet. The criminals running things are fighting a losing battle out here. This action will be somewhat unnecessary if there is a global pandemic.

"I suspect that Merkel and that crowd are going to do something to make us feel better, remember the French have an election this year and I think they would like to win the election, so I suspect you are going to see things coming out of governments for the euro." and that markets will do well this year as governments around the world spend and print a lot of money. But he thinks that strategy is a "horrible mistake" and "we'll all pay for it down the road"

I'm sure the bailout strategy will be the plan but whether or not it works through to 2013 remains to be seen.
