Saudi Arabia Manipulates a Video to Blame Iran for the 9/11 Attacks Which is Then Reported as News by the U.S. Department of State and American Media

  1. An Iranian former government official appears in a TV interview and explains then refutes the claims of an American court ruling that Iran is responsible for 9/11.
  2. Al Arabiya TV, the state-funded mouthpiece of the Saudi Arabian dictatorship, edits the video of the interview to make it seem as if the official is admitting responsibility for 9/11 – Link
  3. One of many corrections: “Larijani was brought on the show to discuss a court ruling which blames Iran for 9/11. He’s explaining what the commission report said. This video was spliced to fit a Saudi-owned news company’s agenda. Conveniently left out is him saying, ‘Al Qaeda is Iran’s number one enemy.'”- Link
  4. The U.S. Department of State’s Arabic-language twitter account, which has now been thoroughly transformed into an anti-Iranian account that regularly tweets Al Arabiya and Sky News Arabia (owned by the UAE dictatorship), shares Al Arabiya’s manipulated video – Link This twitter account is part of the U.S. government’s Global Engagement Center, “charged with leading the U.S. government’s efforts to counter propaganda and disinformation from international terrorist organizations and foreign countries.”
  5. American media reports Al Arabiya’s video as fact: Adam Kredo of The Free Beacon
