474 Arrested, 28 Underage Sex Slaves Rescued in Calif. Sting
Two weeks ago, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputies along with a state and federal task force arrested 474 people across California for various forms of human trafficking in what some believe is the largest pedophilia bust in U.S. history.
Additionally, 28 commercially and sexually exploited children and 27 adult victims were rescued from their captors, according to a KTLA-TV5 report in Los Angeles.
According to Los Angeles County Sheriff Jim McDonnell during a news conference, the bust was called “Operation Reclaim and Rebuild.” Coordinating the efforts to help victims in LA County is The Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking and the Saving Innocence:
The police did not release the names of any of those arrested. Presumably, that must become public information once charges are brought.
Interestingly, the statewide sweep in California had occurred a week before our report #1487 predicting high-level pedophilia arrests were about to happen.
Still Report coverage of the arrests.
