Ron Paul in 8/11/2011 Presidential Debate

The post debate online polling shows that Paul is clobbering the rest of the candidates. Also the crowd was clearly on his side the whole way through. All the mainstream talk of Romney and Bachmann being the front runners is propaganda.

please point to some of the polling and what credibility it might have, or not have. I get the impression the GOP has people who want to cover up whatever support Paul has.

I have heard the argument that he has people who unfairly vote in an organized fashion in these polls and so skews the real support he has in the GOP and the country.

Personally, I think if he ran with the liberal Elizabeth Warren, he would clean up Obama...But, the GOP would not go for this, I suspect, because for the people who fund the establishment GOP, they would support Obama instead.

I think the establishment will continue to fund Obama over Paul come hell or high water ! Although both might be coming so good luck to all !!

If you go to you'll see some of the polling. There were various internet site polls listed there.

Yes, I think a lot of Paul supporters are organised or take active steps to monitor and vote on his situation. Alas, none of the other candidates seem to have such grass roots support.

Furthermore, last election, at numerous straw polls, Paul was also the winner- so it wasn't a case of his supporters skewing anything much there. GOPers in the various states preferred the Paul message.

Yes, I think the polls are skewed by Paul voters, (and altered by the networks, or taken down, at times) however, at the same time I think that after hearing Paul speak, most people prefer his message over the other candidates.
