Potential Cancer Cure In Canada, But Big Pharma Says NO

A promising cure is ditched because the big corporations don't own any patent to the drug- dichloroacetate.

I think we spoke about this situation recently.

We complained about the fact that public monies apparently will not and can not be used to do reasearch for the public good where big pharma, for example, should be prevented from making a killing on it.

I suspect that there are ways for scientists in public institutions to do the research that justifies further testing, and they may even do all the testing, but the only way there would be any public benefit from this work is if the patebnts and profits made from said research be given to privayerte interests.

It's theft justified by saying that we live in a capitalist country and for the public institutions to benefit from their work we would be devolving into communism. Can't have that.
