Here are my 10 most important news items missing from the mainstream media that wholly deal with US news since US actions impact greatly on our lives:1. The 911 Cover-up: The continued omission in the press of mounting criticism against the official 911 story- criticism which shows the official narrative is a fraud. This year we have seen members of the Japanese parliament speaking up, UN officials and hundreds more architects and engineers joining the dissent and papers appearing in the scientific literature. The recent NIST evaluation of the WTC7 collapse was also thoroughly debunked.
2. The Iraq War Lie: The non-reporting and obfuscation of additional evidence showing the attack on Iraq was based on deliberate lies, not mistaken intelligence- that Iraq was not an "imminent threat" to anyone. This re-enforces the fact that the coalition attack was a War Crime. We have had a Congressional Hearing (at the behest of Dennis Kucinich that touched on this matter), a Senate Review on the intelligence, and supporting evidence coming from former White House Press Sec. Scott McClellan in his book "What Happened" that also has information about who was responsible for the criminal exposure of Valerie Plame (CIA).
3. US Impeachment efforts and suppression: We have seen the continued suppression of serious stories dealing with Impeachment efforts made against President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney. Congressman Dennis Kucinich tabled 35 articles of impeachment vs the President in the Congress, reading aloud every charge. He also moved to have Dick Cheney Impeached. There was also a Congressional Hearing (mentioned above) run by the Judiciary Committee (John Conyers) that took evidence of impeachment and then sat on it. Nancy Pelosi this year famously said that she would impeach if there was any evidence but stated that she had not seen any -- this is why the "do-nothing" Democrat-run Congress has such a low approval rating.
4. The Censorship of Presidential Candidate Ron Paul by the US corporate press in the recent US Presidential Elections: Using biased media coverage and poll manipulation Ron Paul was effectively ousted from this contest leaving the unpopular John McCain to run vs Obama. Instead of having a real progressive running for President and a man who has a plan for fixing the US economy and ending the war in Iraq, we were treated to a fake "Maverick" and a fake "Progressive", both figures who are backed to the hilt by the entrenched Washington establishment.
5. Questions about the Economic "Bailout": The failure to accurately report on the highly questionable actions that caused the initial 700 billion dollar bailout to pass- that the threat of Martial Law was invoked, that the US President and Treasury Secretary talked down the markets in the most irresponsible manner in order to generate the fear needed to crash the markets and pass the bill. That the distribution of the government (taxpayer) money was kept secret and that law suits to find out exactly what is going on are pending. This reeks of a scam, and no taxpayer money is going to help/support those who are losing their houses. Criminal inquires may follow if "allowed". I have read that the whole process violates US Law, that the US Senate cannot draft legislation and approve it and then pass it onto the House.
6. White House misinformation, spin and propaganda favouring US strategic goals continues unchecked: There is a failure by the media to identify White House and Pentagon propaganda that frames the "guilt" of entities such as "Al Qaeda", Iran, Russia, Pakistan and Hamas in starting or being involved in various conflicts and events when there is absolutely no evidence to support the claims. In fact usually the opposite of what is being claimed was true ie. the Iranian border has actually been attacked by US backed rebel groups, South Ossetia was sneak attacked by Georgia 1st when the US rants on about Russian aggression etc.
7. State Sponsored Assassinations: The non-reporting of evidence supporting the position that various individuals that have spoken out, or were an implicit threat to the US government/establishment did NOT commit suicide, have accidents and were NOT killed in random attacks. I include DC Madam Deborah Palfrey, Bush election insider Michael Connell, 911 witness to huge explosions inside WTC7 before any of the twin towers came down- Barry Jennings, the death of Kenny Johannemann another 911 witness to huge explosions in the basement of the Twin Towers, the "accidental" death of Albanian arms dealer Kosta Trebicka, the death of Arkansas Democrat Chairman Bill Gwatney etc etc.
8. Corruption Causing the Economic Crisis: Various non-mainstream commentators have called for the jailing of people like Hank Paulson, Greenspan, Bernake and various bankers for allowing the overleveraging of the markets. The crisis unfolding today was predicted many years in advance yet reckless action at the high end of town fuelled a massive unsustainable debt bubble based on low value or worthless underlying assets. Such "madness" could be categorised as criminally negligent or as constituting a racket designed to provide large bonus payouts to the individuals and executives running the inflationary schemes. So far almost everything is contextualised in terms that downplay questionable nature of these "arrangements".
9. Corruption at the US Federal Drug Administration: The US FDA recently stated that high mercury levels in fish are ok without having any scientific basis to refute evidence of the dangers of this neurotoxin. Having a corrupt medical body is literally killing people for the benefit of corporate profits. God knows what other questionable drugs or substances have been approved.
10. Depleted Uranium Munitions: The continued failure to look into the evidence of radiological contamination through DU weapons use by the occupying powers in Iraq and Afghanistan.
[11.] Internet Censorship: Recently You Tube has been taking down various truth videos and altering the counts to keep them off the front page. 911 videos like Fabled Enemies have hit number 1 and were booted.
[12.] The General Corruption in the US Corporate Press (an ongoing matter): Naturally the mainstream press would not expose their own complicity in the cover-up of various controversial topics or crimes, yet online we have many stories showing the "biases" of the US press. We can see examples of bias at the "top" newspapers; the NY Times, The Washington Post, and at all the major national news networks including PBS. We also see bias in the UK with the BBC, but this is less blatant. Examples of media corruption, onesidedness, gross incompetence, deliberate omission etc can easily be found by online researchers.
Once again, where it really counts our media was Missing in Action (or rather not in action), unable to recognise the issues and continuing to regurgitate lies and propaganda. We, the people of the world, seem to have been betrayed by our lax, incompetent, arrogant, and corrupt press. By avoiding these issues the media is almost guaranteeing a miserable outcome for ourselves and future generations.
To the media: You people create the news and decide what issues the public, our politicians, the judiciary and police should follow. In 2009, for those that are not corrupt- you must do a better job, this is not a game.
(Note: that by covering the top 10 stories here real changes to the status quo can be accomplished. Many other world problems will be fixed when a level of truth and journalistic rigor are reintroduced to the public discourse.)

Significantly the THERMATE signature that was evidenced from the iron spheres ruled out their origin as being from any welding done during building construction or the clean up.
